diplomat058: Who the Igbo man can't dominate, he won't like.. but they forget that you can't dominate someone more intelligent than you are. We'll keep reminding them that they are the cause of Nigeria's woes today whether they like it or not. I wonder why History was removed from our school curriculum. 13 Likes |

Simbrixton: Can I mention biafra without a Yoruba going berserk? Even in my office, I get attacked for showing the slightest of sympathy to Biafran causes. All my attackers are yoruba and the staff is diverse. The northern often appear non plussed. But the Yorubas will drown you with Reasons why Nigeria is the best paradise on earth It's a cause vs effect thing. You guys love Nigeria and will die for her. 8 Likes 2 Shares |

nijabazaar:Well, your conclusion reeks of hasty generalization induced by bigotry of mindset. Many Igbos on this forum too hardly discuss Biafra without calling Yorubas sorts of derogatory names, but I don't use their shameful dispositions to conclude that the Igbos are antithetical to Yoruba progress. This is especiall of Nnamdi KANU who always calls Yorubas hateful names on radio Biafra 7 Likes |

diplomat058: No. It's not bigotry darling. It's the reality. Unless you are new here, which is I suspect, all the voracious attackers of biafra here are the Yorubas. Check the Biafran threads here, any critic of Biafra has a Ypruba monikers or known yoruba affiliations. So, I still conclude that my dog has the greatest chance at forming five word syllables than an influential Yoruba convincing his people on the need to secede from Nigeria. The yorubas like Nigeria as it is. And why is that? It could all be a primal fear of venturing into the unknown. They, the Yorubas and her affiliates , would rather stick to familiar grounds 11 Likes 3 Shares |

Re: The South West And Nigeria: A Call For Opinions by flokii: 8:28pm On May 16, 2020 |
diplomat058: Now you're talking.. The igbos won't criticize Azikiwe for his roles to undermine true federalism. Instead they would call Awolowo names like tribal bigot, etc. for refusing to surrender his region and people to Igbo slavery under Nnamdi Azikiwe. You know why I am optimistic? we have what it takes to survive which is EDUCATION courtesy of Pa Obafemi Awolowo. When the time is right, the brighest of stars will shine 8 Likes 1 Share |

diplomat058:Ironsi did not abolish regional government but Gowon did that and created 12 states. Azikiwe is politician that played politics according to his own time 80 years ago. What prevented 11 years of yoruba presidency from reversing all those things and make Nigeria a better place or Northern rule of more than 40 years. Stop blaming event of 70 years ago as your own problem. 5 Likes |

Odingo1: Courage indeed! Northern youths gave you lots quit notice but guess what.. instead of packing your bags and baggages with pride back to Onitsha and the likes, your governors, elders, monarchs etc. all went begging, prostrating to every notherner they see be it old or young just to allow Igbos remain in North. Yorubas threatened you lots small in Lagos during the last elections, you all closed shops and hid in your rented apartments from fear of the unknown. Till I see igbos proudly leaving other regions to the East, I won't take your rants serious. 14 Likes 2 Shares |

@OP. Yorubas are 'loaded', with no weak links whatsoever, as per candidates who can become President in 2023. Let us focus on that for now because achieving it will sort out a lot of developmental problems for the SW and Nigeria. Let's not make the mistake of overthinking what is essentially simply and straightforward to then go and sabotage our own salvation. 3 Likes |

Iceberg3:I don't understand you again. In what way is my statement fallacious? It is a well known fact that Azikiwe conspired with the NPC to form a coalition government in 1959, and the marriage between NNA and UPGA ( NCNC and the remnants of AG) in 1964. Also, the unification decree 34 infamously laid the coffee for the progressive region-based federalism before Gowon finally buried it in 1967. I still don't know why Awo couldn't resign from Gowon's government in protest though 6 Likes |

Odingo1:Well, all the leaders have the blame to share. In one way or the other, they all contributed to the poo this nation is in now. Are you saying that there was no unification decree 34 which attempted to impose a unitary system in Nigeria. That, effectively, prepared the groundwork for Gowon's unitary federalism that we are operating today. Obasanjo, to me, remains a write off. |

Although, we are quiet aware that when you do get your da.mn biafra, you will still need to come and hustle in our land whilst the few ibos in yorubaland surely would not relocate back to their Biafra. then, they will start claiming, ibo lagosian, yoruba-ibo 'cause they have been living in yorubaland for 3 generations. The sad reality is that ibos are the ones who need nigeria most and not the other way round. Most yorubas sincerely pray that you plebs will leave their ancestral land as soon as yesterday. 11 Likes 1 Share |
