Good day all. We know in Nigeria, we go for brand names more than durability.

I was searching for smart TV on Jumia to buy and noticed that the popular brand name like Hisense, LG, Samsung, Sony are way more expensive now .

But I was shocked to see some new set of TV like Rite Tek, UKA, UFC, Bruhm with more features on their smart TV at cheaper rate .

Is there anyone here that have used any of these products.
What's your experience with it

The cheaper ones are made with non-lasting parts. I’ve had two LG TVs which constantly burn their capacitors after one year. I used each TV for four years ie. three paid repairs and one free warranty repair before I sold them off. Buy a Sony, those can last for fifteen years and upwards if you treat them with care.

That's the point: they are premium products. For those twenty years of undisturbed service you have to pay three to four times the price of the LG alternatives. Na money kill better soup at the end of the day.

I don’t know. Do an internet search. I haven’t bought any of their products since 2005.

Most of the tvs on that platform are refurbished.

Any day anytime I will prefer grade A TV from container in either apapa of alaba.

I bought Webos LG last week and it's bee. Wonderful. Full options.

Those Alaba TVs are not grade A.They are old sets of TVs that have been phase out with new modern brands.

Going by complaint by friends and online about jumia's selling bad products,i don't trust jumia's that much.If you live in Lagos,go to any cash and carry outlets or Samsung,LG and Sony branches at opebi Allen, Ikeja.
However, jumia's price lists are on the high side.

Sony is not even among the top tv makers, there's a reason people don't buy their TV's like Samsung and lg and it's not because of price. LG have variety of TV's from cheap ones to premium more expensive ones. Panasonic, Samsung and LG are the top 3 tv makers. But there is one brand that sells like crazy right now in the US, it's TCL. U get good value for small money.

Sony is past glory, nobody buys them and it's not because they are expensive. At the moment TCL is topping the chart in the US followed by Samsung.

With all these donts u listed then there's no point buying them. Shey me that my tv is always powered no matter the power source. Whether current dey fluctuate or not the dey work. No stabilizer, no surge protector. Everything na direct and tv still dey work dey go.

I am talking about the tv the op posted not your own TV at home.gerrit.

I'm currently using a Bruhm 32' tv. Been using it since january this year and no issues yet. Clear picture quality, HDML, 2USB Ports, Eco option and loud surround speakers.
Its doing it's job for now. Funny enough, i'm using it without a stabilizer or a power surge protector.

Was 33,220k plus shipping to Abuja.

That was how I bought innjoo laptop from YUDALA ( now known as Konga) for 60k only for the laptop to start developing faults 3 months after I took it back to their outlet they can't even rectify the problem the parts are very scarce in the market
