You are married for 20 years, you and hubby only have three beautiful girls. His family are the type that believe a male child is more important and a must have. So you feel terrible that you haven't given your husband a male child. He assures you that he is okay without a male child...
Hubby falls ill and critically requires a kidney transplant or he will die and you turn out to be a match, because you love him you decide you will donate your other kidney to him. One day in preparation to go to the hospital for surgery you where getting all paperwork sorted out. You come across your husband Will and you go through it and you find out that your husband has 3 boys with one woman like that and he left 90% of his wealth for those boys and their mother and only leaving 10% for your own girls and you.

- What will you do??
- Would you still give him your kidney??
- How will you handle the whole situation??

Typically people would say No.

But I will go on and give the kidney.

But make sure my girls are so succesful, The Fathers wealth becomes trash. I will also have to let the girls know about thier Father's deeds.

See there are some atrocities that immediate death will not pacify. I will advice the wife to Go ahead to donate the kidney when he is ok they can talk. That’s after ransacking the whole house for all property documents.

Me in her shoes would donate the kidney and save his life. But while he's in the hospital I would get a copy of the will and get separated.

Death will be cheaper for him, so I will donate the kidney so he would be alive to face the music as I will gain more if he is alive to face divorce proceedings being the legally recognized wife (presuming a registry marriage). cheesy

The second option is to re-write it before donating it or he go get the other woman to donate hers at least that should be her contribution.

Easy solution
If he is concious make him change the will before donating the kidney.
Ensure that it's shared equally, because the 3 boys and their mother are not responsible for the man's foolishness.

I know this is very hypothetical. Nonetheless, after such damning information, I'd go back to the hospital, call his family members as well, tell them what I found out, especially if they are aware and then ask them to invite his other "wife" to help out. Shikena.

We're too property obsessed in part of the world. A lot of men have grown up to be useless and irresponsible because of their parents property. A lot of people have killed and been killed because of property. Property you did not work for you want to die on top. The only property I can fight over is the one that came from my sweat.

You talk of giving out your kidney like it's self regenerating like the liver. What happened to the fact that we're married and everything we're able to garner is ours? We're all humans and added to the fact that I don't believe in unconditional love, I'll say that you'll have to go to the ends of the earth and back to meet a person who'll give out his kidney after such magnitude of betrayal. If I do that, it will be because I've calculated my risk, my profit and juxtaposed it with my loss. If it turns out risk worthy, I'll take it but not on the condition of some baseless illogical emotion.

I tense up whenever a nurse wants to take a blood sample and almost faint when I cut my finger. grin

So you think sharing formula works in Divorce cases in Nigeria... please except you are strong mentally and spiritually if you meet an evill family you will be the one to even leave what you have worked for... what ever is obtainable outside Nigeria is not obtainable inside Nigeria most times.

The mothers and wives of the 90's will mostly react differently from the Mothers of this millennia.

Majority of the former will likely react this way..

Have a heart to heart talk wit their spouse before the operation telling him of her discoveries and nevertheless still willing to go under the table for him cos of their bond.

While Majority of the later as we can see from the comments above will not undertake such venture, and if they do, will do so for ulterior motives.



Be it as it may, the situation above can only be handled by a virtuous woman.

I still beg to know what really happened to the motherhood of this millennia... Times have changed for a fact.
