Honor10:The problem is that a lot of state governments in South West, Edo States and some states in the North are testing for this Coronavirus. So, it is expected that there will be detection of this disease. However, some state governments in the Eastern Nigeria and some in the North (like Kogi) are not testing people. Some States don't even have molecular laboratory for proper testing. This means allot of people might be going around with this Coronavirus. 4 Likes |

proeast: Which of their governors? Is is Dapo Abiodun that has kept the state permanently on lockdown? Is it Sanwo-olu that has been on his toes since the virus came into Naija? Is is the Osun Gov. that was one of the few governors to lock -up? It is always good to ctiticize but far better to do it with objectivity, without bias and with a bit of sense on a sunday morning. Perhaps the Govs of your region are super humans hence nobody has been infected there. ? 4 Likes |

Fake. Fake. Mr Governor, don't let me lose my trust in you o. Please don't join this game because it is now exposed. Tell us the name of the organization so that the public can be aware, and those that have visited the organization can take proper precaution measures. Why hiding the name of the organization? Me that visited so many companies last week how will I know and some other people?.. Why was #5000 shared in front of Government house in the night yesterday at 6-7pm? Well this is not the talk of today but another day..... The storm will soon be over and posterity shall judge everyone involved with this hanky panky. 2 Likes |

nwamabo247:It's true.. A friend of mine who works with the ministry of health in the state told me 2weeks ago that a staff of a multi national company after testing positive threw caution away by going to the office and she even organised a birthday party for her colleagues at the office. So this must be the Co - workers at the office |

Honor10: Go and find out from Kyari which one is better? With all the money in the world in your account you cannot afford to buy life.... The company is shut down now right? They focused more on economy and now the business is closed down due to carelessness. They can continue to operate na with corona infected system since economy is same as health... There is a big difference between "ECONOMY" and "HEALTH"..... 2 Likes |

Adeyinka12: As though the states that closed border n lockdown are not having high covid-19 numbers? As though people ain't freely moving in & through the states that closed border n locked down? Look, a developing nation that's heavily dependent on oil for its economy, cannot afford n sustain a lockdown, period! Common Nigerian Rice have risen from 15,000 t0 20,000 because of lockdown in Kano, lagos and Ogun. While banks are closing branches n laying off workers in thousands. Simple, anytime there's lockdown, and low oil prices The economy starts shrinking, people start losing jobs and becoming poorer. Next thing is crime starts shooting up. Why did the Buhari say people should stay home when our case was 400, and was forced to lift lockdown when the cases was exceeding 2,000? Its because we do not have the liberty/capacity to sustain a lockdown n fight d virus. We must allow d economy n industries to run wt some measures of restrictions, while at same time fighting d virus aggressively. The last I checked malaria n hunger is killing Nigerians more than Covid. You seriously need to read this: https://www.nairaland.com/5862893/unicef-warns-lockdown-could-kill Many of the Governors locking down n shutting borders are copy/paste push/start leaders that lack initiatives n sound ideas. They do not make informed decisions backed by data n are completely alienated from the true poverty conditions of their people, unlike GSM. Governors that soon won't be able to pay salaries due to oil prices n palpable recession, are all locking down as well. Jokers I call them. Governors like Bello, Wike and Ayade are locking down without adequate tasting capacity n contact tracing mechanisms. Is that what you want in Oyo?? Common! 1 Like

dadebayo1: When the economy is fully buried, you will see how fast general health will deteriorate!!! You can't hide from the virus... This is the sad truth (Maybe you haven't been watching the news)!!! Until a vaccine is brought forward that will reach all, the virus will remain with us!!! You should be thinking about survival, and this includes economic survival... Well, some of you know nothing about that concept... A lot of you here are largely spoon fed!!! |

Adeyinka12: I beg, go and sit down. States that shut border in southwest, what is the outcome? The guy has really tried to manage the crisis since March and we are in may. Most cases, Oyo state discovered 4 or 5 before in a day. Oyo state share boundary with Ogun, Kwara, Osun and most lagosian find their way. There is no way you want to travel to North without passing Oyo state. What Makinde said was that if he observes a particular town has high figure, he can close it. You can not completely shut down Oyo state, the level of poverty is high. If you try and lockup, criminals will not allow residence to sleep. Makinde should do what he promised, lockdown Ibadan, and allow oke-ogun. Close Oyo and allow Ogbomosho. You can not lock remote areas where farmers are farming because by August when planting season is over, hungervirus will kill many. 2 Likes |

When the lockdown was instituted, I wondered whether the Muslims, especially the Northerners, would be able to abide by the rules. But to my utmost surprise, they complied. But then, there are the Christians, albeit a few of them, especially pastors, who are holding services with claims that it is just them and their immediate family. But the voices from these gatherings show that they are holding normal services with a full gathering, and not just their immediate family. They compel their followers' into coming by telling them that there is nothing like Covid-19, and that the government is just using the Covid-19 as an excuse to steal money (pot calling kettle black). They boast that even if Covid-19 was real, it couldn't come close to them. I understand that many of these pastors, especially of small churches, feed off tithes, offerings and donations. I don't have a problem with that. But there is a pandemic ravaging the globe, and fighting this pandemic should be prioritized. That is why the lockdown rules are in place, and should be respected. We can't be afford to be emotional at this time, if we don't want our case to be like the case of the United States. The church I am referring to is a small church, but still it has over 10 members and should be able to afford a short online service in keeping with a small budget. They just finished their service for today; they have been having services since the lockdown began in Ibadan, Oyo State. God will help us. Man must survive. |
