Nobody even saw that Rotimi Amaechi's wife is a gold digger who rejected him when he was a broke boy but accepted him immediately he became a special advicer to Rivers State Governor, meaning Nigerian ladies have been digging gold since 1960, and Naija guys will be shouting my mom is different grin

Rotimi Amaechi was kind of honest in this interview, poverty pushed him into politics and he went in and succeeded in enriching his family and cronies, no wonder he is very corrupt.

He had to praise his current paymaster Buhari to avoid being removed....so having discipline now means not replying your critics, what then would he say about Goodluck Jonathan the greatest man of peace in Nigeria

Foolish Amaechi who could not resist marrying a gold digger that belittled him, how can such a dunce, a simp make a good leader Question for the gods undecided

I just like this guy for always keeping it real
unemployment drove him into politics, he is not like some politician that will garnish their lies with maggi and salt telling us how passionate they are to serve people instead of telling us that their interest is their pocket.

Poverty drove you into politics and what have you done to alleviate poverty in Nigeria?

Journalists should be asking the right questions.

I use to love this man until he sold out GEJ, and join the apc bandwagon.... Yet he is there preaching betrayal..... Smh

It is the other way around. GEJ used his office to influence Amaechi losing his role as head of Governor's forum. GEJ used his influence and got Amaechi suspended from PDP. GEJ used his influence to make it hard for Amaechi to continue delivering as a Governor, including using military.

Amaechi had to leave to APC to save his political career. Even though GEJ betrayed Amaechi, everyone turned on Amaechi for betraying. I ask, who betrayed who?

Tinubu will never agree he joined politics for money or because of unemployment. He will rather say he came to be a leader blah blah blah
Because Tinubu was already the national treasurer of Mobil oil before he joined politics, only if you are enlightened enough to know the meaning, everyone cannot have same story.

Unemployment led many youths into military, police and other paramilitary force and not Passion hence why we now have the most weak forces in Africa

In this part Ameachi dey confuse with his sweet mouth as usual. Political marketer

What were the qualities that attracted you to your wife?

My wife is very pretty; extremely beautiful. She is also entrepreneurial. I needed a wife that I would be heavily dependent on. And till now, I’m still heavily dependent on her– financially and in other ways.

Whenever I’m broke, she usually bails me out because she is always buying and selling things. I even joke with her that I hope that someday I wouldn’t return home and find that she had sold our children (laughs).

She is also very prayerful. She fears God a lot and that is one quality I admire in her. She was very respectful to my parents and is caring to my siblings. She encouraged me to make sure that all my siblings were educated and today, they all are. She always reminded me that my family should also enjoy the kind of benefits I got. Even when I told her I had no money, she would ask me to borrow from her and pay back when I had. Most times, I never paid back. Basically, it’s a huge family managed by her.

Ameachi was a special adviser to RVSG when he met his wife yet he was broke somewhat that his wife pay his bills?

Ameachi mouth too sweet so tey e dey confused himself though I love his political sagacity, he understand the rudiments of Nigeria politics and knows how to penetrate people's heart anytime he wants

Having the mindset of an entrepreneur is wonderful, but in your down "years", what pays the Bill's?...

We cant completely blame those that dont think that path, foreign nations give you:
- Unemployment wage
- Cheap food
- Low cost rentals
- SME loans as long as you have a good proposal
- Good minimum wage to grow that dream..
- credit facility to own what you want with spread payments..
These are all fools paradise in Nigeria..

That of the SE works well because they serve for a good period of years while 100% of their Bill's are being taken care of by their masters, the connections are given to them as well as cash capital to kick-start that already defined dream..

For a graduate, its like being thrown into the desert and told to find your way out..

We can't keep comparing civilised/developed nations to developing/uncivilized country like Nigeria.......
No matter how we complain we are not getting out of the unemployment because the foundation is faulty
In all of these there are some positive minded youths that are breaking barriers of unemployment through entrepreneur while a lot are there complaining.........

You are distorting history! It was Amaechi who picked up a fight with GEJ because people like Tinubu promised him the presidency or vice presidential slot.

Most of you are not from Rivers or were not resident when this happened.

All these our polithiefcians can lie for Africa.. Like giving ridiculus excuses. You graduated at that young age in 1987 and you could not get a job, oga stop lying because during that time, Nigeria Govt still value graduates a lot, at worst, Teaching job is guaranteed. Having been a Union President, I believe politics is in ur blood and You deliberately joined because your father was a politician.

even my father that did not go to university retired as an assistant chief accountant of the Nigerian port authority.... without any form of interview back then.
Meaning u can never to go univ and not get a job waiting am sure of that.

Oh yes. Creating jobs, jobs and jobs is the main business of political leaders. But how many Nigerian politicians know that?

True.. no doubt, was concentrating more on why it's much more difficult for a graduate which already comes with reduced age, lack of capital, pride and a mentality of entitlement..

Pls this Minister needs to explain why he cancelled the Essay Competition without letting people know about it in time. He should have publicised the cancellation of the online essay competition just the same way it was advertised on all social media platforms.
Writers only got to know after they 've submitted their work. Saying it was because of the pandemic. But y tell people to write about the effects, challenges and prospects of the virus on the transportation industry if u weren't going to finish what you started. It was painful as many people not only me put their time, effort and money into that essay.
I think he needs to tender a sincere apology on this......

You can't recall what happened when you were the union president because it was a long time ago but you can remember how your father used to lock you out when you committed an offence and always came out by 2am to flog you with a cane. It is well.
