Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 15 by Portex: 8:09am On May 16, 2020 |
Jubrilx3: Get your GRE and English tests high, sometimes they consider that more than your transcript. And the last 2years of your Undergraduate studies are considered too. |

Pjomo: Such an unenlightened way to respond to good intellectual conversation. Their conversation is in no way derailing the purpose of this thread, you can't talk about visa interview and overlook the impact of the current pandemic. 10 Likes |

Pjomo:How's the thread being derailed? In fact, the answer to your question can be found in the comments you claim to be derailing the thread. |

Jubrilx3: First use the free wes evaluation to evaluate your transcript to 4.0 using this link https://applications.wes.org/igpa-calculator/igpa.asp and tell us your new GPA on 4.0 grade, then we can advice based on the new information. I'm 98% certain you can get admission to a good ranked public schools if your new cgpa is above 2.0/4.0 Also share your profile like your proposed masters program and your test scores if you have any. I'm willing to guide you through, Looking forward to your reply on this thread 5 Likes |

Lifeisforliving: Was your "full funding" equal to the amount of money you need to survive in your first year in grad school as estimated by your graduate college or international student office? If no, then the word "despite" is not applicable in this context. You needed to prove to your school that you can provide the remaining amount when your funding is deducted from their estimate. Hence, the need to show your bank statement. To answer your question about whether or not your scanned i-20 can be used at the embassy, I think the embassy will accept it if an interview is scheduled during this pandemic (which I doubt). USCIS is currently accepting scanned copies of i-20 and other docs for H1-B and OPT applications because of the pandemic and need for social distancing (note: these scanned copies were eventually printed and sent to their offices) . So, be rest assured that they will accept it if an interview is scheduled during this season, which I doubt because things are still uncertain at the moment 3 Likes |

Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 15 by Muleriders: 12:41am On May 17, 2020 |
Portex: The bolded is wrong. Your transcript is the number one determinant in admission. Test scores, LOP and recommendation letters are just supporting element to boost your admission eligibility index. Read the red circle on the attached image For the last two years of undergraduate, you are right. Majority of schools use this criteria 1 Like

Hello everyone, I just have one or 2 questions to ask. My interview was slated for first week of May, but cancelled due to the lockdown. Pls I would like to know if anyone has applied for interview since last week that the lockdown has been eased. Or has anyone received a mail from the embassy recently? Also how can I apply for an emergency interview? Pls I need your urgent replies. Thank you in anticipation. |

HisEminence: No one has applied for interview and you can't apply for an emergency interview, too. |

Your interview was not cancelled because of Nigeria's lockdown. US embassies are closed worldwide and till further notice; no interviews, no appointment booking. Just stay in touch with the news to know when there's any change. HisEminence: 1 Like |
