I wept as I watched these beautiful souls being wasted for perishable material things that they would have acquired by hard work and diligence. We all should know that no mortal has ever succeeded in taking a dime to the spiritual world. We are here on earth to earn a ticket to heaven. And JESUS is that ticket. If you're having a ticket not bearing the name JESUS, you are having the wrong ticket. JESUS is here ready to receive you if only you can come to him 1 Like 1 Share |

Before you all start pitying armed robbers! Some of them had no mercy in those days and would shut down whole streets and rob every house, raping whom they want, or throw something in the road and cause accidents so they can rob the dead and injured! https://www.legit.ng/1082868-5-dangerous-armed-robbers-nigeria-history.html 2 Likes

budaatum:We have even retrogress, Nothing is barbaric in this act. Capital and public punishment is what works for us here in Africa. First a reminder of the basic argument behind retribution and punishment: all guilty people deserve to be punished only guilty people deserve to be punished guilty people deserve to be punished in proportion to the severity of their crime This argument states that real justice requires people to suffer for their wrongdoing, and to suffer in a way appropriate for the crime. Each criminal should get what their crime deserves and in the case of a murderer what their crime deserves is death. Public Execution should serve as an appropriate retaliation for murder or where great bodily harm was inflicted. A secondary purpose is to make it impossible for the perpetrator or would be criminals to repeat his crime, or to give closures to the families of the victims, or avoid doubt of miscarriage of justice which is prevalent here in Nigeria.80% of Nigeria's criminals know they can by their freedom after commiting a murder. |

I have mixed feelings about capital punishments. If you dare take a soul, you have nothing to live for. Our society has become more violent and deadly. We can live without cold blooded killers. However, the argument against it is that it doesn't act as a deterrent. It is even more unjustly in societies where the weak and the poor make up majority of people on death row. How can someone be for it in Africa because of those hardened criminal but against it in Diaspora. |
