Now in the market Python and Java are the most popular languages use in coding, bit for the sake of simplicity i will advice you should start with C to C++ and get the background if coding.
Hmmm.. For which programming aspect exactly. I didn't start with C tho. It could be different for others.

Does one really need a system with dedicated graphics for coding, web design to be precise. And is 1gb dedicated graphics ok or do i need an upgrade?

Yes, you do need a system with good specs, for smooth running. It could still work, but the system's performance will degrade over time. 1GB.. Hmmm.. I am not sure... I would advise you to upgrade it... But you could also look it up.
Am new to coding (almost through with HTML & CSS)
You are focusing on web development. That's great, man.
I've got lots of questions, but am presently preoccupied with other things right now. Whenever am free, can i mention you in the web section, cause i could really use your help & guidance on a whole lot of things?
Hmmm.. As far as its within my reach, no problem. Although I prefer you learn it personally. It sticks more to you than direct teaching. My way of teaching might not work out for you.
Create a time schedule for them. Visit Udemy/YouTube, watch videos and practice. Use the Internet, conduct proper research, read articles. Having a note/journal is advisable. Then, start building projects little by little. As long as you're determined, you'll learn them.

Almost done with HTML and CSS
You are advancing, man. Nice.
Go to page 1 and 2 of this thread. You would see links to some learning articles. I believe when you're done with the two languages, Javascript should be next in your list. As I said, do some research. The internet will advise you better.
You must be practice them frequently though. That's the only way to determine if you're done.
If you seek direct tutorship, you could enroll in online schools (free or paid, determined by your pocket). You should also check if you're into Back-end or Front-end web development.

Thanks man, would do just that. Am considering Back-end, Front-end can always be easily sourced & added to ones work, isn't it?

I believe these are the proper languages. You could also do some research to confirm.

Client Side/Front End Development;
- HTML, CSS, JAVASCRIPT
Server Side/Back End Development;
-PHP, MYSQL

Languages are best learnt with personal determination. It sticks to you more, than direct teaching. Plus my style may not be the one you grab. You might have your own way of understanding it.
Learning articles also help a lot. You don't need to reach out to me. I believe you can do it, man cool

I believe you start with JavaScript first, then Python. You can start learning more after that. Just be determined. As far as you're truly interested, it wouldn't be a problem learning it.
Check out page 1 and 2 of this thread for some article links.
Use the internet to get more.

Thanks I appreciate a lot.
I believe you know ethical hacking and have done a lot of cracking, penetrating and breaking down firewalls a lot, so this should be something you are familiar with.
Please how do I hack a Wi-Fi ? cheesy
Asin to crack the hot spot router and get the password?
I've been seeing videos on YouTube like using aircrack and brute force but I don't understand.

Lol. Are you learning it to crack WiFi? grin
If you aren't truly interested in coding, you might quit halfway.
I suggest you learn how to use aircrack. It's easier than coding your way in. Some articles and videos will explain better.

Hmm.. I can't really seem to recommend specific videos. It's been long. My advise is to keep searching till you find a method that you can grab.

Thanks to those who created this thread.
I'm a Python programmer with slight experience in scikit-learn,pandas,numpy and MATPLOTLIB.

I'm thinking of moving into backend now, about to learn Django but I don't know if there is need for me to learn html and css??
Thanks
Lol... I'm slightly in the same shoes as you...

Only that I haven't learned matplotlib yet...

Guys please... How do we proceed sad

I have decided to finish my machine learning path first, when I'm well grounded I will come back to backend.

Exactly, is not necessary that you must start with C, you can start anyone you are comfortable with.

You don't need to be in the computer line to pick up tech skills, however you need to be someone who enjoys problem solving and is committed to learning. I would recommend you read the link below to get an idea of the different areas within tech, from there you can narrow down to the areas that interest you.

Personally, I would say No as there are many free alternatives online. However, skillcrush has a good number of free resources that are useful, and you can sign up to their blog updates.

Python is a simple language to start with. It is a beginner-friendly language and easy to grasp. There are many online resources to learn Python. One the good resource, I had found on the web is: Learn Python.

you would also need to write the front end for display most times while working on the backend. There would be a style.css or index.html for example.
However when you use Django rest framework, it may not be necessary.

Okay. I have heard this question several times. And due to my experience I think I can give some opinion here as a self thought software developer.

From my experience, It is a lot easier to approach software development as follows:

You start with HTML, then CSS, JavaScript ( these are mostly the basics you need for Front End Development). After this you can now look at adding any of the Back End Languages. These can be a combination of the language and the framework Example: C# and Asp.Net, Python and Django, PHP and Laravel. This path is some what bent toward web and mobile software engineering. But with these knowledge you can easily branch out to other areas like embedded software dev, machine learning etc.

To further help you with this, You can explore some of my udemy courses using these free coupons:

good morning my senior colleagues.
I really need a suggestion.

I have a basic understanding of PHP and mysql. e.g, I can create some basic things like calculator, signing and signout, contact forms using procedural. and I also have a slight understanding of OOP cos I had done a little Java(I wouldn't call it my first language)

my goal is to create an E-commerce website which will be more or less lime jumia.

so,
Should I learn PHP OOP instead of procedural?

You download and install the particular programming language or a particular package that comes with all the dependencies ( e.g anaconda in the case of python).

After that you can program automatically from your command prompt and lDLE.

To make your work easier, you then download and install an lDE( e.g pycharm for python).
But if you got python through anaconda, you have almost everything you need included in your package.

Alternatively you can program online from some platforms that allow you practice for free, without downloading or installing anything.
