Explorers, please you are totally off track with these. This is not the US. Even over there where we have saner people, their gun laws are tearing them apart. I share in your sentiments, but the truth is it will do way more harm than good. This same guys who went on a robbery without guns will now have access to guns. Those who have obtained guns legally will monetize it by lending it to robbers such as these. We are in Nigeria. Domestic violence will no longer be with fists. Couples will shoot each other dead at the slightest provocation. We are in Nigeria. There is frustration in the land. Please, the government shouldn't try this. 9 Likes 2 Shares |

I'm not in support of this idea. We all know how Nigerians have the habbit of abusing certain privileges. And then the issue of carelessness where you mistakenly keep it within childrens reach and they'll want to test it out like they see in movies. Its should not be allowed. Biko. I would rather a taser device. At least it requires some guides to using it which only adults can master making it a lot less risky. plus its not that deadly if used accurately and moderately. 1 Like |

Eulalia: You can only attack one robber with taser at a time, what happens if you have 3-5men robbers? Check my 3rd post, last point. Parents must have portable safe like those below. Even some handguns come with smaller safe like these. Password/codes will be with Dad/mum. 2 Likes 1 Share

Geofavor: You're very correct with some of the above points. Most of these guys are homeless, no parent, no NOK, no jobs, and like that. In my post, i stated that evidence that buyer is gainfully employed or documents detailing the legal business of buyer, police report, international passport, Nin, drivers license, everything will be linked together at point of purchase. BVN, NIN are always carrying our details, we're not just ready and is intentional. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Eulalia: You're right that the idea has cons, but the taser ehn. Robbers will take off only when they know that the taser will take their lives. How are you going to use taser on 5men holding long matchete like the ones in the video |

Weedsmoker:They can debate that because they have a functional security in place. If the Nigeria Police Farce is capable of 10% of what police depts in the US are capable of no one would be clamouring for gun legislation. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Explorers:from my exchange with you weeks ago I thought you were anti-gun, now you've seen the essence. Even the 911 won't come immediately, in the US it takes an average of 15 minutes, note that this is average some cities take much longer, 5 seconds is enough for a criminal to inflict bodily harm on an unarmed person not to talk of 15 minutes and that is in a country where things are a lot better than here. I'm glad you're seeing things from this point of view, I hope the government consider their fellow countrymen and use their heads for ones. Guns for security and self defense at home are a necessity 3 Likes |

Exmilitant:what you're saying is not absolutely true unless of course you're a criminal, that's why you think when someone is armed they can still be victims of all those criminal acts you mentioned. Of course it is possible, but you can't compare the ease a criminal will have to rob, kidnap and rape an armed citizen compare to an unarmed one. 1 Like |

henryobinna: Police response depends on the area. Beverly Hills, CaliI has less than a minute. Newyork Time Square to is fast. Guns: I never said they should take away guns totally from Americans, people should have the right to defend/protect themselves and their families. But you don't defend yourself using machine guns. Canada Prime Minister said, 'you dont need AR-15 to hunt a deer.' So i said heavy weapons, military grade should be banned. A college student having Tactical AR-15 with over 500 rounds, magazines in his possession. For what That's madness. 2 Likes |

Explorers:I understand the fear anti-gunners have especially when AR-15 is mentioned We've had similar conversation before so I wouldn't go further on this sha. And those guns are not machine guns sir. Also, I hate it when someone is talking about gun arguments and they start mentioning politicians especially their views. It's so annoying because to me it appears you fail to see that all politicians want is power and more power nothing more than that, taking away your arms tilts more power to them. Before Venezuela degenerated into the mess it is today, the first thing the socialists did was to take away their guns. Before Hitler and his gang of mad men started all their madness, they first of all took away their guns. There's always a pattern to gun control and at the end all it leads to is absolute power in the hands of politicians and all the absolute power does is having citizens being treated lower than animals. 4 Likes 2 Shares |

For the sake of sane citizens in the country I wholly reject the idea. If everyone has guns, the killings will increase exponentially within 1 month of approval. Wives will shoot husbands.. Creditors will shoot debtors. Traffic jams will cause killings. Employees will shoot thier bosses So many issues will come up and bang bang will be the answer in the short term and devil blames post gunshot. We dont need guns roaming around the society. 1 Like |
