Humility017: I think that stuff affects every team egen street football. One players feels he's so talented and indispensable and hence a wildcard treatment always. It may be a losing moment, but the coach would still insist on his pride to prove a point. I wish the national team was way past this altogether. That way, no one would be forming Don Jazzy anywhere. Imagine 27yr target man in this shoes. Coach vex and invites 19yrs old to replace him. After 7games 19yrs old has equaled his goal record. Na dis kine thing dey sweet belle. Keshi did okay in that regard. If we lost, story wouldave been different. The Ideye omission still painful to me. That Emenike partnership was..... Phew 1 Like |

daveP: The bolded takes me back to the days when I used to play street football a lot .. There was this guy living in the next compound that we usually play football together.. He was really good at dribbling and he was fast too...Could break down defenses easily at times .. But he had a problem : selfishness . Doesn't like passing the ball at the appropriate time and always wanted to take the glory for himself. No team work at all! If he ever became a professional footballer it would take a strong willed coach like Guardiola,Mourinho or Klopp to refine him 1 Like |

Danielnino00: I personally hate that thing. Once had such a guy. Called him messi with si silently pronounced. He could dribble and de Bruyne defenses with thru passes but he began to carry shoulder, calling it confidence. It got so bad we began to plan to not pass the ball to him cos once he had it he wants to be the ozil even if 8 other teammates are in better position. We won 4-2 without his skills and he went home angry. He never did it again Until A club in lagos took him in.... |

andrewbaba44: People act like age falsification is not part of daily life in Nigeria. It's not just football but in ever facet of life, there are guys who unknowingly married women older than themselves. Using school as a yard stick is indicative but not necessarily conclusive. First of all Dude failed a MRI scan in 2013, l had many a heated discussion with people here years ago on this subject. I explained that it is possible for a 21/22 year old to pass the MRI. Why because bone fusion occurrence has s number differentiald by race , environment, nutrition, health factors, etc. Teenage boys in the West are already taking synthetic protein supplements to enhance performance e.g. cretin, etc As a result a 17 year old elite athlete (football) could have fused distal radius at that early age. As consequence he could be considered an age cheat. However, because thier is automatic data capture at birth this is not a problem. Now consider Nigeria good nutrition, environment, quality health care are directly related to economic status. You could even argue it also affects educational access and progress. A 17 year old boy from an under privileged background in Nigeria. Will most likely have been malnourished, poor medical access, multiple environmental factors, educational challenges, etc. As a consequence they will have stunted growth and even at 21 will not have full fusion in the distal radius. And will pass as under 17 year old. Now when someone from that kind of background fails the MRI test, which is 100% accurate in determining bone fusion. What do you say ❓ Oh anybody can fail the test. What's the likelihood hood of a person with multifaceted socio- economic challenges finishing high school at 15 as some have claimed. There are many kids who finished high school way above 19+. These are very common probables in the context of Nigeria. Add football and the quest for age cheating is a routine not the exception. 5 Likes 2 Shares |

andrewbaba44: Personally, i can never use sec school as yardstick again. Not for naija. Chidi was 37yo and joined us to write waec and used 25yo on the form. LookIng like one old granppy. We also had a 15yo in the ss3 too. Today now, no one would wana believe they were classmates. Lol With all these affidavit stuff upandan. Its now part of culture. |

Danielnino00: It was after the Madagascar match. Victor was upset he didn't get to play while Leon still had his error on his mind. The story goes that Balogun roughed up Osimhen without as much as an apology and even growled at the lad when he ask for one. So Victor did what any future Diego Costa would do and kicked him back it was just a scuffle at the end of the day sha. They are still cool |

Edopesin: Na affidavit full market las las. I knew someone that used so many false ages, she couldn't remember which date of birth she used to open her account. People were cutting off years from their age when we wanted to write WAEC. People born in the 80's, were putting down mid 90's as their DOB. That is why this age argument coming from Nigerians is almost laughable. 60% of the civil service have false ages, even the President is possibly parading a false age. Any age someone says they are, na to collect am dey go, unless you have solid proof of a different age. 1 Like |

safarigirl: The issue is a norm here, People will continue to falsify their age as long as it is possible to do s if we're even honest with ourselves we surely know one or two people that falsified their age for various reasons over the years but we UNDERSTOOD why they did it and never criticised them But na only for Nairaland and social media we dey remember say e no good 3 Likes |

Edopesin: For all we know, even the social media age monitors may have falsified their own ages at various times, but they are just angry their own didn't make them as much money as some footballers and celebrities I have seen so many people falsify their ages, I sometimes think I'm the only one using my real age |
