Deltayankeeboi: The law says that you are supposed to apply for asylum in the “first safe country” you arrive in. So if you already arrived in Italy you cannot come to Germany to apply. They will send you back to Italy. Same applies to anyone coming from another safe country, trying to apply in Germany or any EU country. But, I know a Nigerian guy that was living in Italy and applied for asylum here. I don’t know if he was granted or not. I also don’t know how he did it 3 Likes |

I must really commend you in taking your time to write and enlighten people about the reality of been a black person in Germany. And I agree with most things and topic you have touched on. However, most people would take the bolded as absolute while in reality it is not so. 1. No student in his or her right senses would drop student status for Asyl Status - meaning a student status is better. 2. Most black Asyl always have unconscious natural beef for students - Why? You have what takes/would take them years and lots of lying to achieve. 3. In most cases, Asyl process takes 5-10years - a shortcut to a very long Autobahn, many people lose their identity, every educational achievement they have prior to seeking Asyl, hence they could no longer further their education in Germany, all they can do is hustling jobs. Even sometimes after getting your Asyl approved, especially if the person is not working, the person still have restriction of movement - you need approval to travel on holiday, your account is been controlled, you are asked to come to the office every now and then. In short, all your life is been controlled. Having interacted with lots of blacks Asyl seekers and hearing their stories (both approved and unapproved), I do not wish it for my enemies sef. Noone should take this path except, the person has already given up on his/her dreams and aspirations in life. Nothing beats relocating abroad legally - (Student, Working Visa, Family Reunion, Visa Lottery, All Point Based Migration-Express Entry, etc). 24 Likes |

heniford2: They don’t put any machine or lie detector on you. It is not a criminal investigation. You also cannot “choose” gay. Asylum for gay people is reserved for “gay people”. I personally don’t like when straight people lie about being gay, just to get Asylum, especially if they’re homophobic. There are gay people who are truly being oppressed and deserve a chance than mere opportunists. No, they don’t check your anus or ask how you have sex. 19 Likes 1 Share |

Gcapable: You just wrote a bunch of nonsense and made me angry. NOTHING you wrote is true. Why do people do this? Why would a refugee lose his previous educational achievement? Who told you they only do hustling jobs and need approval to travel? All a bunch of nonsense. A refugee DOES NOT lose any educational achievement, whether past, present or future. A refugee can also attend a University like every other student in Germany up to any level they want. They can get ANY job they qualify for. You also do not need permission to travel. You have freedom of movement. Only people who need permission to travel are those who depend on job center (government assistance) and that applies to EVERYONE, including German citizens who are on job center money. That is because you cannot say you’re unemployed and you’re getting money from the government and traveling as much as you want to enjoy yourself. So please, get the hell out of this thread with all those lies and misinformation: 20 Likes |

Danielhouston: Oga you can get angry as much as you want, the truth remains the truth. This is the last time I will response to this, since you are intolerant of views different from yours. How many of the black Asyl seekers have eventually gone back to school? Is it the one that has changed name from Solomon to Abubakar to have his Asyl approved or the Nigerian that claim to be from Congo. Please tell your readers how they will attend university as Abubakar with Solomon's credentials. What is the population of Nigerian Asyl seekers that eventually even learn German talkless of now working professional Jobs? Finally, I hope you are not confusing Syrian refugees with black asylum seekers? We all know blacks tell all sort of unheard lies to get asylum approved. What's on paper is always different from reality. Peace out. 6 Likes 1 Share |
Re: Being Black In Berlin/germany by Nobody: 7:27pm On May 18, 2020 |
Gcapable: Again, nonsense. Anybody who refuses to go to school, that is their choice. Also anybody who changes his name from Solomon to Abubakar, and says he’s from Congo, that is his choice. How does someone’s personal choice affect everybody else? Even a student who uses fake name or passport will have problem when applying for visa. So what’s your point? So because someone refused to learn German, that should affect all refugees in Germany? What type of nonsense are you talking about? Anybody who is not qualified for a professional job will not get it. Whether refugee or not. If you’re an illiterate with no degree, refugee will not make you work in a bank. There’s no difference in Asylum benefits between Syrians and blacks. Refugee is refugee. Doesn’t matter how you came to Germany. If you are granted asylum as a refugee, your rights are the same as every refugee. Justwise pls get this guy out of this thread. I accept other opinions but I don’t like misinformation just to start sh*t 28 Likes 1 Share |

Re: Being Black In Berlin/germany by Nobody: 9:03pm On May 18, 2020 |
He’s talking about “Nothing beats relocating abroad legally”. Who told you refugees are illegal? They want to be legal, that is why they’re applying for Asylum. An asylum seeker can arrive Germany on a tourist visa and apply for Asylum before his visa expires. So in no way is such person illegal. Anyhow he arrives Germany is his choice. Please tell me what benefits students, work visa, family reunion, visa lottery, get that refugees don’t get? Germany does not even offer visa lottery. I don’t know why you mentioned that. The only thing is that a refugee cannot visit his home country while he’s a refugee. And there are even cases where he is allowed to. Unlike the other ones you mentioned, a refugee does not have to marry someone just to get document. They already have the documents they need. They can settle down and find someone they truly love to marry. Not fake marriage or having kids for visa. 11 Likes 1 Share |

UrFears: No. Justwise should not delete it. A lot people have that same misconception about refugees and it is important that they are corrected. You see some people liked his comment. I spent 1 year working with refugees as a volunteer and I’m very well informed about the process. I even considered it after my studies but I did not apply because I did not have a reason to. Out of fear of not getting a job and my visa running out, I considered every option. It also exposed me to a lot immigration lawyers, some of whom I now know personally. There’s almost nothing I don’t know about Germany’s immigration system and other laws. I have lived here for almost 7 years and I’m not just here to exist. I experienced many things and took time to learn everything I could about Germany. That’s how you conquer the system as a black man. With information. It baffles me when people have these misconceptions without getting proper information and start to spread it. 38 Likes |

Re: Being Black In Berlin/germany by vululadilolo: 10:15pm On May 18, 2020 |
UrFears: He is right though. Being a Student is "better" than being an "Asylum seeker". However, being a "Refugee"( as in having your asylum claim/petition approved or at least granted some sort of protection similar to what Refugees receive) is in general "better" than being a Student. As a "Refugee"( or assimilate), you can stay legally ( indefinitely?) in the country and you have access to all social benefits + free to work, travel or do whatever you want as long as it's lawful. But, like he said, nowadays, most European countries hardly approve Asylum claims of Africans ( except in some specific cases such as homosexuality, human trafficking or the likes.). So most times, for Africans, seeking Asylum is a waste of time due to the fact that the chances of getting the status of Refugee- or assimilate- are very very slim. Unless they use that time ( it can take years) to seek for other alternatives(work or marriage but it's harder these days ) to get their "stay". In short ( to me), for an African, it's better to travel to Germany as a Student( vs Asylum seeker except of course, there is a legitimate and full proof case of persecution ). At least with the education you receive, if you can't stay after your studies, you can migrate to other "developed" countries (Loads of Africans in Canada via Express Entry where once students in Europe with no possibility or fewer possibilities to stay in the countries where they studied). You also have the time( for a genuine student at least) to plan what you are going to do after your studies. Heck even if you don't finish your studies, it's easier to get a visa as a student in another European ( Western country). With Asylum, If they refuse( the probability of a refusal is close to 90%) your petition, due to what they call "Dublin Case", you can't claim Asylum somewhere else( at least not in Europe). Of course, while they are reviewing your Asylum claims, in general, they feed, clothe or give you some stipends. You can even work but your life is somewhat "suspended". Many Asylum seekers end up "trapped" or "illegal" unless they were able to change their status via another legal route( in a lot of cases via marriage but like I said earlier it's harder these days). 8 Likes |
