Hello Friend.
I'm about to purchase a Nigerian used Lexus ES330 from cars45. The inspection report is superb. The mileage is good. My problem is that the price is strange. It's going for 1.3m. I don't have much knowledge of cars so I'm a bit skeptical because I thought it should be more expensive than that but I just hope I'm just been lucky. Experts, I would appreciate ur opinions on the pros and cons of a used Lexus ES330.
Thanks a lot

Just go with a good mechanic and insist you test drive the car before making final payment. Who knows, you might just be lucky. And add to the good reviews you read.

Until you realize that Cars45 doesn't allow test drives.

Then they can go to hell 45 times with their 45 cars.

Thanks guys. Apologies for the late reply. I just finished work. I'm glad for this nairaland Forum. It's an eye opener for me. Actually, I bought my first Toyota corolla 03 from Cars45 for 1.2m and honestly, it was graded level C and ever since then, I have put in nearly 500k in repairs. I managed to revive the car now and I was thinking of swapping it with a Lexus ES330 I saw on their website. Sincerely, from what you guys just said, I think I better keep my corolla as it gives me perfect services now, rather than picking up a new trouble from cars45. I appreciate guys..
Once beaten... now u know

Yes, it can happen but it can be prevented. Only use OEM ball joints.

If you have to replace your axles, ensure the rubber of the ball joint does not tear from the mechanic hitting the lower control arm. If it does, replace the rubber.

Also ensure that the bolt holding the ball joint is firmly tightened.

When you drive in traffic and you notice a loud grinding noise when the wheels are turned in either direction especially after the vehicle has been driven for a while, it's time to have the ball joint replaced.

The earliest failure on OEM ball joints I've read happened at around 40,000 miles. Some last as long as 120,miles or more. What this means is, once you have the OEM ball joints installed, you should have rest of mind for 4-12 years if you do an average of 10k miles/year.

God day everybody, please i need your help ooh. I am trying to make a choice of vehicle and i’m quite confused. I’m about 6ft3 and i drive about 50 miles per day currently. I’d like a vehicle (Jeep preferably) that’ll serve properly, have good legroom, trendy and stylish.

The following vehicles have crossed my mind

Acura MDX 2010
Lexus RX 350 2010
Toyota Venza 2010
BMW X6 2010

Recommendation of any type within or outside the listed ones will be highly appreciated, Thank you.

RX350.
Infiniti FX50.
Acura MDX.

I'd go with the FX50. Fully loaded, it's just as comfortable as any of the others, while having way more power. Almost 400 HP, to be exact. Handles excellently, great exhaust note. Fuel economy isn't great, though, but not really that worse than the MDX for example.

Reliable Dakar Rally Racer and winner. But be weary the electrical system is very sensitive and gets brain box destroyed if tampered with.

Buy it
