ahiboilandgas:You are mixing a lot of things up here and jumping between classes in your words. Why compare a manufacturing plant with a poor retailer trying to feed. Shopping marts around like SPAR,Market square, ebeano,Walmart, etc mostly sell to the poor and they sell indomie and other products at mostly retail for the same 35 naira you are talking about. Are they poor? 5 Likes |

chigo4u: Be sincere to yourself, ever think how they got the data. Have you ever taken part in any survey talk less of the homeless. Common census, me and you knows how they arrived at the population. AKS, (am using AKS because I stay there, grew up there) has the best parks in the country. Its a public place so no point hyping. We don't have people sleeping in parks. Like I tell people, following the $1 dollar a day, nobody is poor in AKS, even boys that says "show me love" some are staying in elite estates. Helper for bricklayer presently gets minimum of 2k a day. Mere selling poor water of 80naira for 10naira gives you a profit of 120naira per bag even you don't need the initial capital of 80naira to start. Any body can decide to be lazy and there is nothing the govt can do about any one that refuses to hustle even the bible said it. I repeat, we are not poor. Stated earlier that I built my first house when I was jobless in the same AKS when my mates working in Lagos and abj then don't know what owning a land is. I even preferred that joblessness(popularly called hustling) to certain white collar jobs. 8 Likes |

Before your oga will receive money for that 25 trucks he sold,a good branch of market square must have made that turn over 5 times more. 1)believe it or not, your oga did not sell that truck cash,it is credit. 2)retailers in small quantity don't sell credit, they sell cash so they have a lot of cashflow that is always up for reinvestment. Does your oga have this? So to you, don't you see that a single branch of market square will literally rape your oga's truck supplying business in terms of cash flow and profit maximization over and over again? Your oga will see his money on paper most times while market square is seeing their cash and profit daily and reinvesting daily. So how do you compare this 2 businesses? 6 Likes |

I just hope and pray the ones bashing this country doesn't eat their own words in the future, covid-19 hasn't taught you all any lessons. You condemn as if you can see the future, what makes you think you are in your safe haven? What if the countries you all run to, decides tomorow to deport every black person whether you are a citizen or not? Godforbid? Remember What happened to Ghanians? Impossible? Life haven't taught you any lesson? Hello anything is possible in this life. Always leave room for 5% error, even if your fact might seem accurate, that's what makes us human. As far as I know, there is still hope for Nigeria. Take it or leave it. The summary of this whole argument shebi is , Nigeria is a failed nation Abii? Ok we don hear, failed but not dead nah. The unit price of your product, the number of people who can afford your product and the frequency of the purchase of your products are very important. The cheapest products sold by UAC Property Development Company is N50 millon, the cheapest unit of the product sold by MTN is N100, the cheapest unit price of the product sold by Dangote cement is about N3000= The rich are the sole customers of UAC Property Development Company. Both the very poor and rich are the customers of MTN The average citizens and the rich are the customers of Dangote cement. UAC Property Development has been struggling for profitability for about 5 years, while MTN and Dangote cement are making profits running into hundreds of billions of Naira. 7 Likes 3 Shares |

ahiboilandgas:I still don't understand this logic. How can you say Toyota sell only to the rich but build cars for poor people? Don't that tell you that their intent was to sell to the poor? Or are you confusing a mere distribution mechanism for social strata? Toyota have distributors for work distribution purposes,so as to get their products to the last consumer with the tiniest resource spent because if toyota have to build showrooms worldwide and have all that coverage on their own,it would be impossible. 4 Likes |

ahiboilandgas:You will see dealerships of course but why is toyota producing cars for poor people if their intent was to sell to the rich? They are not selling to distributors because they are rich,no! They know they have the means of getting their products to the last consumer on the planet, that's why. Do not confuse a means of distribution with TARGET MARKET. 11 Likes |

Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by Theconglomerate(m): 2:21pm On May 19, 2020 |
emmanuelewumi:No let him first answer this. His oga supplied 25 trucks at 25m each to a "rich man". The total cost of this business is 625m Now this can easily be likened to a market square branch in GRA port Harcourt and even a small one along ada George road, that is removing the cost of the building. Now his oga will need like 1 year to get paid that money whereas market square of the same capital base is making daily cash sales and reinvesting their money throughout that same one year period. Who will make more profit? His oga or market square? Take note that market square sell to the poor and his oga to the rich? When you want to make comparison, compare equals. Don't compare dangote cement plant with some hustler trying to make daily bread on the street so you can buttress your point. 8 Likes |

ahiboilandgas:And you think I don't know this because? When someone makes a product for the poor, does that not tell you his intent was to do business with the poor but can't do so because of accessibility constraints? ahiboilandgas:And I ask you,if Nigeria breweries has the resources to sell their products directly to their consumers(the poor),do you think they will still need their distributors? They are not doing it because they can't afford it,not for any other reason. If they were rich enough to open shops, bars, clubs, lounge etc on their own, they will chase all their distributors immediately today, not tomorrow. 6 Likes 1 Share |

ahiboilandgas:How many times will those companies buy the batching machines? Did they come to this world to buy matching machines? You make 30m today and jesus will have to come down before you see another one,is that what you call business? In that same time frame, young shall grow buses are moving poor people in and out of lagos with luxurious bus up and down. Who is making more money if we liken their capital bases? This thing you are trying to argue is a business I know too well about,so I wonder why you keep arguing. Supply today, stay idle for 2 years while those doing everyday business are raping you up and down when it comes to money. 6 Likes |
