What is working here. It's only to insult Sai Baba una Sabi.

Can you imagine what this money used to build this building will do to state health infrastructures alone not to mention other areas begging for attention?

Is this building the problem Ukwa Ibomites are facing? It's a misplaced priority and waste of funds.

I think you need sense .... pls visit akwa ibom state website and see fir yourself . Secondly we have an international specialist hospital that was built by akpabio but facelift by udom for your education ok

Politics and maintenance. How well has Udom managed the 5 point Sheraton and the international hospital he inherited? The same way he treated Akpabio's projects might be what happens to his own when power changes hands. I prefer private investors building industries and highrises not government.
try and get sense na..don't used your anus ok. For info specialist hospital is currently functional . 5 point by Sheraton was just recently free from court house after the former partner took it to court and is awaiting Uyo to Ikot Ekpene supper highway to be completed before reopening and secondly udom is waiting for a good private company to come manage the place (PPP).

I hope there was already a market for this building before the project. From the post, only two companies showed intent to take up space.
Let's not see unoccupied or abandoned office spaces in this building please. It looks too fine to be unoccupied
there are alot of companies showing interest in it and meanwhile read the attachment carefully

pleas where do you have SMART building in Nigeria . Address and pix pls

I think you have allowed yourself to get carried away with the 'Smart Building' term used in the press release (I'm guessing Nigerian politicians have finally found a replacement for the much-abused 'ultra-modern markets'). There are several smart homes in Lagos and Abuja (you can google a long list of home automation companies in Lagos); also, all of the features listed are fairly common already with several commercial buildings in Lagos (Civic Towers on Ozumba Mbadiwe, V.I, Heritage place on Kingsway road, Ikoyi etc.).

Congratulations in advance to the government and people of Akwa Ibom state.
I actually took my time to read the whole piece with the hope to see a statement like " ... Upon completion, the property will be managed by XYZ which is global leader in property management like so and so building in VI, New York, Thailand and Dubai ”. I was however disappointed not to see any similar statement. This implies that the state government will manage it herself. My concern is maintenance and sustainability!
VSK had a contract to build and manage it meanwhile if mobil occupy that building the will want to manage it themselves cos dey don't really like interference, so the article depending on who wrote it maybe didn't not see it fit to capture the management aspect . Thanks meanwhile for your positive contribution

No mind the guy!
I was there last year and not so many people said good things about him.
He is so badly in need of a signature project to associate his name with.
I hope say him mind go rest after they complete it?
Somebody that called a project by Akpabio 'Tropicana hotel a monument that he won't spend the state funds to complete it is now trying to show off with another monument.
Both are on d same road and would benefit the state.i think he need good advisers.
Yes, the funds for the project might not have been utilised properly but the glory still goes to the state if completed.
Akwaibom is blessed with leaders I like and he's not doing bad either but should free his heart from hate.
hmmmm

My argument is, after Cocoa house, have you added any taller structure 50years in Ibadan, 50years running?

Uyo was a thick bush 50yrs ago, that they shud have a structure on par with you after this many years shows the level of retrogression in Ibadan.

You want to blame Nigeria for your retrogression. Except Yorubaland which other ethnicity enjoyed your Cocoa proceeds, but in one fell swoop you're happy to fleece Niger Delta oil, yet remain ungrateful to Nigeria.[quote ]

I see a discrepancy in the thread title and a sentence in the body of the story and those pics look like architectural
drawings. And didn't the governor just reject some help from ExxonMobil? Not good policy and public relations when you are trying to attract foreign investment. And who owns the title of the project, Akwa Ibom or a private company?

"Akwa Ibom 21 Storey Building Ready (Pictures)"

"The project which kicked off on 17th January, 2018 with a two year work term is scheduled for completion by the end of this year, precisely on 17th December, 2020."

Now on a positive vibe, I hope the building becomes fully leased/rented/occupied and hundreds of qualified graduates and career ppl get very good salaried jobs in the edifice. smiley
pls you can do your own research of it....thanks for your positive contribution

A really unnecessary comment and comparison. Lagos was the capital of Nigeria and received development during colonial times before we gained independence, if im not wrong Lagos is above 50 years old as it was also built with the collective effort of all Nigeria before the capital was moved away from there and you're here dragging Akwa ibom a state founded as recently as 1987, experienced bloody civil war from 1967 to 1970 while you were going to Cinema and drinking wine in lagos and is developing at a very rapid race, outside Lagos can you compare Oyo or ekiti or osun to Akwa Ibom in terms of development, please stop being a big fool and pass,we didn't beg u to comment.
God richly bless you amen
