I stay in auchi..edo state and there is no store that sells redmi 7 or 8, any redmi brand at all, so which phone should i buy next.. Thinking of buyin nokia 3.2, but the front camera is no that good.,
Wait o... no be you dey tell me about prices of Redmi 8 with all boldness? So, you never even see anyone not to talk of confirming the price?

Well, me go enter computer village tomorrow... I am very certain of getting any model I want at Xiaomi main official physical store..

Xiaomi Thread store hasn't been helpful a bit. I quoted a seller who advertised, not a single response since yesterday.

Lemme waka my waka myself. No time.

That's not totally true. Especially since Xiaomi launched in Nigeria. Also, I believe you know there's Jumia Global and Jumia Express. Furthermore, the fear of customs intercepting your goods from aliexpress (which is not the same with Jumia) is
the beginning of wisdom. Finally, a lot of users here actually got their devices from aliexpress by the way especially we the old generation users so it's not as if we're oblivious of the sweet offerings from Aliexpress but in recent times when you weigh the pros and cons of some transactions, Jumia is more preferable.

I like your analysis..detailed and all that. I'm a regular customer on aliexpress but I haven't bought a phone there before and they never disappointed me. Not only that,I found their offerings just preferable to naija sites and customs never disturbed me. When I compared the price of RN8 pro(I could get 86k with glass and case included) to the 104k that dude paid for it here in naija, the difference is a bit glaring.

Well,that's just me sha...
Thank you for the intelligent discourse. I appreciate your maturity

I know, it is an Amoled. And it is a long while any mobile phone came with a true OLED panel.

The differences between both is the arrangement of the panels.

I feel its high time we stop all these updates causes battery drain. Even if it does give it some days and hard reboots it will get back to normal. I think any phone that gives you above 6hrs sot under heavy usage is fair and my RN7 does that. Finally if you use your phone and the battery runs down abeg simply charge your phone afterall na you use am or you can get a good quick charge 3.0 power bank take follow join body. Una go dey there dey fear battery and be missing latest goodies on offer. If he's happy where he is abeg leave him alone o. grin

Thanks for the heads up bro, if you noticed am not talking about my device but that of a friend, who is also a nairalander, agreed we can not overemphasize the merits of updates, but some people just want to hear people's experiences and thus my question.

I use a Mi 9t and the update before last was a battery Zapper but I was amongst the first to update and even with the new update, I believe am also in front line of those who updated.

Sometimes let's under the rationale behind a post before we let anger take the best of us.

Once again thanks for your contribution as I await to hear from more folks whom have had hands on of the quoted device.

Cheers

We cannot shy away from the fact that some update(s) tend to destabilise things. Battery performance dropped on RN8 after an update and Android system has been mostly responsible for battery drain. Updates are good though but they're not always perfect.

Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by Timiflexi: 4:51pm On May 19, 2020
With the heavy themes animations and gestures coming on miui 12
There might just be a little bit of ba3 drain until further updates are done
Just watched beebom YouTube video and people in the comment section using the beta version had their concerns

To be fair I really don't care
I believe every phone Xiaomi has made in the last 3 years can handle heavy usage till the end of the day so it really shouldn't be much of a problem pending when they do further updates
