post=89729648: The United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea 1982 provided rights for land-locked states on the sea. More importantly, the convention provided them with the right of access to and from the seas and freedom of transit. However, the law makes such rights subject to the agreements to be made by land-locked and transit states. This, in turn, depends on the prevailing relations between the concerned states. If they are not in a smooth relation, the transit states may not be willing to negotiate and thereby put impediments on the land-locked states’ free transit. Land-locked states have no absolute right of access to and from the seas and freedom of transit. Pay special attention to the red highlight.. If you know how to read, go ahead, read gently and comprehend massively for your own good. Your rights are not absolute, it doesn't supersede the rights of the sovereign Nations and the rights of transit states because at the end of the day, they call the shots, not the UN or even you. Landlocked states have no absolute rights regardless of the toothless law you keep blabbing about. 4 Likes |

Chai... sons of belial could not stomach the trashing they got yesterday. They had to go saharareporters with a conjured personality to publish this erroneous article just so they can feel good about themselves. Lol. I love the way they display their evil desperation as this will make it impossible to cover when they will shamefully want to claim another intent. We're are very ready for you all. Igboland is not landlocked as you all wish and Gowon will not determine our border. Midwest was created after a referendum/plebiscite whereas Rivers state was created by fiat under the circumstantial situation. It shall be revisited in due time. You sons of belial can dance to your own thoughts and expectation but reality is outside your grasp. |
