The level of Power you receive on acceptance of Jesus as your Lord and personal Saviour is not enough to see you through the journey of life. You will need to grow spiritually to becoming a son in Christ. Power to get to any length or height you want to attain in God and in life is in Christ. For a man can attain any height (rich or great as men of the world would say) in life and yet in God, he could be a spiritual nonentity and could be easily wasted by the powers of darkness. Power to live above sins and Power to deal with your enemy (the devil) and household wickedness is given unto you if you have Jesus. It must however be activated through rigorous spiritual trainings which the Holy Spirit can take you through if you surrender yourself unto Him.
Every form of perversions and addictions bow when you launch into a spiritual realm that the devil cannot resist. Start learning at the feet of the Holy Spirit.

Very well but not like video games. That's why you cannot dare some Christians and go scot free because of the level of the Power of Holy Ghost they operate in. That Power is very much available to everyone that receives Jesus and works towards it.

So, when Paul had a sword driven through him, why didn't this impervious power of the Holy Spirit stop it from killing Him? When James, the disciple, was killed in Jerusalem, why didn't this impervious power of the Holy Spirit stop Him from dying? When Stephen was stoned, why didn't the power stop them? Where their levels not high enough in the Holy Spirit?

It was so because of the gospel. Remember the Lord Jesus our Saviour was also crucified so that the gospel might reach the unreached. You forgot to mention John the beloved who didn't die a matyr.

Do you know why Jesus prayed before his crucifixion? He prayed in order not to avoid the cross - which was part of his destiny.

They did operate in the Power of the Holy Spirit and they were translated into glory of God's Kingdom by dying as martyrs for the sake of the gospel so that salvation might reach you and everyone including me. It's a mystery that takes some level of spiritual understanding for full comprehension.
