Lake Victoria is part of river Nile - and there is a treaty that guarantees Sudan and Egypt 80% of the water - and 12 other countries share that 20%. You cannot just wake up and start building a dam along river nile system. Egypt and Sudan have 'veto' power.

Most Kenya other lakes are salty except Lake Turkana and Lake Naivasha.

Most of kenya flowers and horticulture come from Lake Naivasha.

Lake Turkana - is fed from Omo river from Ethiopia - and Ethiopia have used it for irrigation and dam it. It enters lake Turkana and the water is alkaline.
