GDP are estimates. A figure you can cook. It means nothing if it's not accurate. What matters is the money in Lagos state coffers. That is money to build roads, pay salaries, provide services.

And Nigeria has less money than Kenya.

So you can claim to have a GDP of 1 trillion - but the money in your bank account will not become 1 trillion.
