So I hire on Fiver quite a bit for tech "mallam" work e.g Product entry

So today I wanted to enter 1000 new products into my website and went to my customer on Fiver

This boy charges me $0.50 to enter a product anytime my product lands and he does it with his friend.

The picture he used on Fiver is the older picture but I got him to chat me up on Instagram today and the younger picture is who he really is.

I have a 16 year old boy who is in University already and runs eComm business too but today I questioned if I have done enough to bring up as a future provider -

Wow this little boys are just 10 - 13 from thier looks - I am so proud of them.

This is how to bring up a male child walahi ...... I will make sure my boy joins Fiver too..

I believe we are babying our boys too much in Nigeria (minus Anambra tribe )

What do you think?

Their level of exposure to quality life, education and good infrastructures is a big bonus compare to their Nigeria counterparts. But nevertheless, there is always a way for everyone regardless of your situation and country.

What way of life is in Bangladesh??

I disagree - I wish i could post my conversation with him - boy is a workaholic. They train them to earn money from an early age - to be providers

How to train the male child to be what? A provider? Odiegwu!

The Bangladeshi is probably working out of necessity. A 13 year old holding a job is not normal unless he/his family need the income. Best to let kids be kids and enjoy their childhood.

Yes to be a provider. What is wrong with that?

We all work out of some sort of necessity - he is a child that just earned $500 not standing in the sun but from the comfort of his home, from his skillset.

There are grown men in NG who have not earned $500 this month (N207,000) this young boy will earn it in 4 days and move on to other gigs.

He is strengthen his money making muscles and I love it.

The advantage:
his wife and children will respect him,
he will never have to ask his pregnant wife for transport fair
his wife will never tell him she regrets choosing him and not her rich ex
and many ugly thing I have read on NL

A man needs his wife's respect like humans need oxygen - if you have a son - pls help him strengthen his moneymaking muscle early - do not baby him when it comes to earning.

What if it's actually the dad using his kids pictures to cart with you or probably random kids pictures?

Some people cherish anonymity?

The reason why I asked for IG was to video chat with him. So I saw him on video chat too.

2. No one wants to hire a 13 year old so it makes no sense for him to use a 13 year olds pic

Rather it makes sense to use an adult's pic so he can get the job.

Same reason jobless men call themselves CEO on social media to entice girls who ordinarily will not have thier time

You get it now?

Not really!

Look around you, most girls already have a great sense of responsibility ...... and yet the primary responsibility to provide is not even supposed to be on thier shoulder.

If the boys dont catch up soon. They will be used for reproduction and dumped to the curbs.

This is not gender war. This is discerning parenting of a mother who loves her son.

Our sons should not be fed by thier woman and it is in our hands as mothers as parents to equip them to see financial opportunities and earn it so they can be the plug, the provider, the male figure.

The pedestals mothers put thier sons on, the young women of today donot care about to uphold that pedestal if he is not doing his part I.e providing and protecting - that is why he has heavy dense muscles

One just has to read through topics on NL. Women care about having kids but no longer care to stay married a man who cannot provide for them and the kids.

Divorce happens and the kids donot have a quality father figure and the cycle begins again.

MY sons are providers!!!!!!

Just like it is the peeenis gives to the vaagginna and it is the vaginal that takes from the peeenniiis so also is female the reciever and male the giver. (Check your anatomy if I am correct) if you are female you recieve the man etc (even in cowgirl or girl on top - the female receives grin grin grin bear with me graphic eg)

Electricity has + and - , plug and socket, farmer and soil so many examples of the male and female.....

What ever is given to female she multiplies but male must give first his sperm to get baby as the farmer gives his seed to get harvest.

Families are breaking up because we do not realise this + and -

I write for prosterity sake - when the student is ready the teacher appears.

Some will get it but not all..... that is ok too.

Done my part and there is no other way, if we must keep the family unit together healthy

The hypocrisy of this thread!

Firstly, you, a woman, has no right to speak on how a male child should be trained. Would you and your kind accept if a man came here to create a thread on how a girl child should be trained? lipsrsealed

Secondly, I DARE you, even as a woman, to make a topic on "how to train a female child" and see if the resident misandrists of this section will not impale you head on a stick like they attempted to do to Buka!

You lot will come on this platform and be telling men what to and what not to do. Who send you message undecided

I love your idealogy. Let he who has ears hear. There are too many lazy men likewise women these days and it is most unfortunate that their mothers are their enablers. You will see them hustling in the market to feed and house their 32yrs old child. Training a child is not all about beating a child. It is important to teach them financial literacy, how to learn a profitable skill and earn money from it, how to save in a piggy bank and invest your saved money, how not to be a spendthrift etc. By His Grace, i intend teaching my kids both male and female financial literacy, if more families can key into this, i believe it can turn this country's economy for good.

That feeding a child over 30 years is wickedness - that parent is wicked and as failed that child.

Oh I get you. I am talking here about raising legendary men.

Making sure that acorn reaches his Oak tree potential

I am not talking about raising an employee - addicted to salary (not bad) but I am too ambitious to want just that for my egg

I am talking about raising a mudafcuking money making machine - A Trump!

A man similar to my husband - I am talking about raising a liquid metal, an indabosky, a lion...... an eagle

A man who society relies on.

A MAN, men rely on Okunrin meta, Akikoju Okunrin, Okunrin Ogun - a man industries come out of - a Rockefella!!

I am raising legends - if my son was to become the president of Nigeria - I will still think he can do better

Why?

He came from the groin of a legend - top notch quality sperm (my husband) - my job is to show him the possibilites and keep his self esteem up then back him up with money.

I am mummy - I am raising legend men!

So sorry if I was not so clear in the original post wink grin bear with me - I sometimes think we all think alike. Thanks for bringing me back to earth.

I'm not against teaching boys (and girls) the importance of making money from a young age but putting pubescent teenagers on freelancing platforms? Too dangerous. A teenager should not be left alone wandering around the cyberspace unsupervised. I thought Nigerian parents were bad for putting financial pressure on their kids at 18 years old upwards. Indian, Bangladeshi parents are even worse. Imagine a 13 year old sourcing for work on Fiverr. Poverty die die die

Making money is not all there is to being men. Some men make money and are still irresponsible. Teach your sons responsibility that comes being a man not just money making only
