What they have there is actually not correct.
The correct information is on NSE website, you can download any company financial reports from the site to avoid being misled by all thes third party analysts

Bra, I beg to differ.
The info on dz site has been my main guide.
This same info what was I used for Ardova whetit was down to year low.
Take the positive from their analysis.
Especially, the BVPS.
The financial report would not tell you the BVPS.
Not everyone got the dedication to be calculating bvps.
Moreover, the site tend to update companies information regularly.

THE DRUM IS BEATING.
Recently, there is a new campaign for brokerage firms to merge and recapitalize.
The proponents of the campaign opined that less than 10 stock brokerage firms are responsible for 80% of equity transactions in the Nigeria boss.
Should this proposal of RECAPITALIZATION / MERGING sees the light of the day, it means the retail traders are in for high brokerage commissions.
Presently, the commission ranges from 0.5% to 1.35%
I wonder why the terrible government of the North always make things hard for the productive people of Southern Nigeria.
We do the work, earn the money, pay the tax, spend by the directionless government of Northern Nigeria.
It took a determined campaign by the Olusegun Obasanjo regime in 1999 to lure the present generation of retail investors to the market.
Now that our generation has embraced the market in our quest for financial freedom, the body language of this government of the North is to make us pay more brokerage fee.
I can recall, VAT was removed on equity investment and transaction in an effort to encourage retail investors to participate more actively in the market.
Recent statistics shows that the domestic investors participation in the market currently stood at 54% vs 46% for Foreign investors.
Should government insist on the recapitalization and merger, who will pay the imminent increase in brokerage fee that will accompany such exercise?
I have no apology, this government is blind and deaf. She does not listen to people. Her personal interest of Northernisation of the whole Nigeria is the interest of the country.
In Nigerdelta, where the mainstay economy of Nigeria is located, we have no gut. The official language in NNPC is now HAUSA.
All the top management positions, 23 out of 26 is filled by hausa fulani.
To worsen the matter, the graduate trainee scheme was essentially reserved for the candidates from Northern Nigeria.
Buhari has destroyed Nigeria.
After removing the VATs holiday that was introduced by GEJ, he is bent on making us to pay more.
What is left for our deaf president is to rechristened the nation FEDERAL GOVERNMENT OF THE NORTH.
NO apology for any of the readers of this view from the North.
Speak to your people, tell them Nigeria does not belongs to only the descendants of othman danfodio. It belongs to us all.
After destroying everything in Nigeria, Buhari is bent on destroying the NSE and SEC. Go ahead, we are fully diversified.
NYSE, LSE many of us are already there.
No one is insulting the wicked northerners, they are the one insulting and destroying the nation.
Your President sacks a southerner, he replaces with a northerner.
He sacks a northerner, he replaces with a northerner.
You shout one Nigeria while you believe in only Northern Nigeria. You have grossly divided this nation.
We are marching on. You cannot be in power forever.
The glorious days of NSE shall return after the expiration of Buhari tenure.

We should learn to respect others irrespective of what our feelings are without calling out any session/tribe. Don't let us turn this thread to where we start to discuss tribe rather we should focus on the credibility of the person appointed and how it will affect regulation going forward.

This is the second post this week you're making subtly attacking a tribe in the country. I believe you can do better. Thank you

I don't think the case of Guinness is about Covid. It's case is not unconnected with your previous long post about the present Northern govt. Until after the present administration, I doubt there will be a rise for this dey bone. Even at general market bull, it doesn't rise.

The point is that the information you posted about Guinness EPS and PE is wrong.

You and the site are wrong on the BVPS as well. Correct figure is N39.76 as at Q3.

It pays to calculate yourself or get confirmation figure from another source if you want to adopt an analysts figure.

Frankly i am yet to pick up any signals about the proposed recapitalization of brokerage firms. If it is in the works it will be counter productive for retail investors and fair competition. A counter lobby group needs to spring up to stop it.

You are absolutely spot on about your observations on trend of appointments. Better suited for politics section.

Lastly, we can make solid points without being abusive or denigrating any tribe or group of persons.

Guys please help. I just got a job few months ago. Growing up, I have always thought about investing. Now, I want to do. One option is shares for now. I have gathered small money, could you suggest which stock i should buy? Stock with a low price below 10 or 20 naira, with promising future growth and high yield of about 12% or more. Thanks. Lemme just dump the money there.

I would suggest that you put your funds in a low risk investment such as mutual funds and fixed income pending the time where you garner a lot of knowledge on the stock market.

I am saying this because it is easy to lose money in the stock market especially if you are a newbie (like me)

Please Sir, what stock can someone invest in this period.

Investment plan is:

1). Short term: N1M
To be rolled over, let's say weekly or bi-weekly

2). Long term: N500k
Considering at least one year. Also, it has to be a dividend paying stock + capital appreciation.

If only you had this Plan at March low, you would have been smiling now! You can see that most people will not recommend stocks now because they bought low then and the ideas that even if they recommended or adviced on some stocks, Investors trade blames without taking personal responsibility for buying such stocks or heeding to such advice if things go wrong.

I hope you already have fundamental knowledge of the stock market and you are diversified in other Investment such as MMFund, Treasury Bills and Others? If not, I'll advice you to take 1/3rd-1/2 of your fund there depending on your risk appettite.

Well, let me tell you what I'll do if I'm in your current position based on :
1. Short-term to medium-term: FCMB or Fidelity #1.70- #1.75, Wema Bank (#0.54-#0.58), Access Bank or UBA #6.50 or less ; FBNH #5 or less, Dangcem #145-#150-: they declared a dividend of #16, while qualification date is next week. I know of someone that bought as high as #170 and was able to average down to #154

2. Long-term: MTNN #108-#112, WAPCO #10.70-#11, Zenith or GTB at their pull - back prices

Note: Pls do your due dilligence, you are the CEO of your portfolio and therfore responsible for any Investment decision you take!

I'm just so pained.
Looking at all other stocks rise while wema is stagnant.
And I'm 100% in it
Even Jaiz has risen to meet the oloriburuku stock
Why name call a stock that gave you some good gains ....going by your post? Not right at all.
Wema has potentials but just surrounded by negative sentiments. It will move at its own time.
Also, why can't you have at least two stocks in your portfolio instead of one? Guess it's much better cos one may be delivering while the other is still slowing down.
There are positive sentiments around Jaiz and Unity, reason you can't compare it with Wema.

Thank you so much for the information + advise. I have been following the thread for over a year but limited to only TB and fixed DP.

It was in mid-March I made up my mind to start trading stock. Though, with a meagre amount on chaka, unfortunately I got my hands burnt with their unnecessary charges. I ended up creating an account with Morgan but the "cash is king" slogan confused me as a newbie. I ended up not investing a dime because I was hoping to join the bus at the best of bottom.

On your question about stock knowledge, let me rate myself at 5/10. I know I have a lot to learn. I plan to learn more while trading. Hence the need to have a mentor.

Thank you for suggestions about the short and long term stock. I'll keep my eyes on them to see their direction and probably decide when I see a good entry price.
