Maybe only a portion of your order was filled and you cancelled the order. The system will assume you are no longer interested and will automatically revert the partially filled order, making your total order null and void. I observed this from MorganCapital.

If Morgan Capital does that it will be really strange, the shares once bought is bought, even if it's partially filled when you cancel the once already filled cannot be reverted as the person that sold don chop the money grin

Good afternoon, Pls is it possible to get sms alert for a stock purchase that did not go through? I got an alert for a purchase but my trading account was not debited and it's still showing under pending trades.

That alert from CSCS means your order has been fulfilled.

Your broker's platform is probably not synchronizing with NSE at that time.

Just email them to update your portfolio

Hanty please advice me about how to place buy order on Morgan.
For short term investment, which of this do I click on?
* We have NSE equity stocks listed in two categories on that table: EQTY and PREMIUM.
* If you click on 'Equity' it will display all stocks listed under it, just look for the coy ticker (name of the coy) you wish to buy or sell and pick it.
*Under 'Premium' you will see the likes of Access, Zenith, Fbnh, Dangcem, etc., Select the coy you wish to buy or sell, then input the QTY and PRICE.
** Note that other columns on the buy/sell table are already set on default. Don't adjust them (it's meant for those who understands how well it works).

Hope it's not late. Ask if you have further clarifications. smiley

THE DRUM IS BEATING.
Recently, there is a new campaign for brokerage firms to merge and recapitalize.
The proponents of the campaign opined that less than 10 stock brokerage firms are responsible for 80% of equity transactions in the Nigeria boss.
Should this proposal of RECAPITALIZATION / MERGING sees the light of the day, it means the retail traders are in for high brokerage commissions.
Presently, the commission ranges from 0.5% to 1.35%
I wonder why the terrible government of the North always make things hard for the productive people of Southern Nigeria.
We do the work, earn the money, pay the tax, spend by the directionless government of Northern Nigeria.
It took a determined campaign by the Olusegun Obasanjo regime in 1999 to lure the present generation of retail investors to the market.
Now that our generation has embraced the market in our quest for financial freedom, the body language of this government of the North is to make us pay more brokerage fee.
I can recall, VAT was removed on equity investment and transaction in an effort to encourage retail investors to participate more actively in the market.
Recent statistics shows that the domestic investors participation in the market currently stood at 54% vs 46% for Foreign investors.
Should government insist on the recapitalization and merger, who will pay the imminent increase in brokerage fee that will accompany such exercise?
I have no apology, this government is blind and deaf. She does not listen to people. Her personal interest of Northernisation of the whole Nigeria is the interest of the country.
In Nigerdelta, where the mainstay economy of Nigeria is located, we have no gut. The official language in NNPC is now HAUSA...
After destroying everything in Nigeria, Buhari is bent on destroying the NSE and SEC. Go ahead, we are fully diversified.
NYSE, LSE many of us are already there.
. ....

The glorious days of NSE shall return after the expiration of Buhari tenure.

All the top management positions, 23 out of 26 is filled by hausa fulani.
To worsen the matter, the graduate trainee scheme was essentially reserved for the candidates from Northern Nigeria.
Buhari has destroyed Nigeria.
After removing the VATs holiday that was introduced by GEJ, he is bent on making us to pay more.
What is left for our deaf president is to rechristened the nation FEDERAL GOVERNMENT OF THE NORTH.
NO apology for any of the readers of this view from the North.

He sacks a northerner, he replaces with a northerner.
You shout one Nigeria while you believe in only Northern Nigeria. You have grossly divided this nation.
We are marching on. You cannot be in power forever.
The glorious days of NSE shall return after the expiration of Buhari tenure.
Oga, well done o. Na who dey lead the campaign so we go know who our enemies be.

The minimum capital was moved to 300 million during GEJ but the implementation was stalled. I do not think 300 million is too much for any stockbroker that is not operating as a one staff business- which is what many of them actually are.

The commission will not increase and over 100 firms will still meet the 300 million requirement should SEC decide to implement it now. On the VAT, the waiver granted by NOI expired and Tom boy Oscar could not pull enough weight to get another approval- this one would have been hard because the government needs money.

The introduction of DMA is largely responsible for the lower commission we’re witnessing now. However, Oscar now started his MOS drive and therefore overburdened the firms with staff they don’t need. I guess that contributed to why Morgan increased their commission. FYI, brokerage commission is between 0% - 1.35%, it depends on your pocket and the transaction in play.

Don’t compare the NSE with the NYSE and LSE, except for the effect of devaluation, it is always better to invest on the NSE because you don’t pay CGT.
