Awwnnn, thank you.
I wont lie, I am quite shy in person in public. I can handle the effizy here, its online but I'll run away in real life. A lot of people see it as Pride. Till I smile at them and interact one on one with them, then they see things differently.

Yesterday I had a bad day, it started in the morning after I got some news. I was mentally down. But it's under control. I didnt bother to come here at all. I had to take care of myself first.
What shall it profit me to be transferring aggression to people I don't even know. Is it not better I sort the inner man first?

This country is Boooooorrrrrrrrriiiiiiiiinnnnnnnngggggggg, even someone like me is saying it. It is. I know the attention I would have gotten if I was in the USA. The USA is very lively and vibrant, the folks here are very shy.
Enya lives one hour from ny house in a Castle. Shes the extreme condition of the average Irish. Shes too shy, They call her a recluse. Even the locals thinks she takes it too much, she lives with just her cats Alone, apart from utility staff, she lives with a couple as neighbors who manage her affairs.
Shes the richest musician from just sales of her music alone, she never holds concerts or tours, she barely attends all these music awards like Grammy and all.
Alot of the Irish live like her, but they are not popular, why we even know her is cos her music dey ring for our ears.
I can say for a fact Paparazzi is not happy with her. If all celebs are like her, Paparazzi go hungry.

The lockdown caused by the COVIK ONE NINE, you can see how smooth everything is going in Ireland. The USA folks wey no sabi stay indoors don carry Placard. The Irishman obeyed it. They dont like attention at all. When the National Lockdown was announced, these guys love to jog and walk their dogs and some would go on the ground and lie there with their dogs chasing butterflies.
The country didnt even allow jogging at first so people needed to keep fit. The Guardian of peace, Garda Síochán in Irish, Gaurds in English, this is what the call their police. Garda for short. They were given legislative power to stop anyone and ask them to obey the lockdown.
Can you imagine, For the Garda to see you on the road and approach you, their form of national assembly had to sit and draft a bill. Let's compare it to the Sars harassment, theyll stop you, seize your phone, even arrest you no matter where you're going on top No evidence but here say. Do you know how many times I had to find something for police just by eating in the restaurant? I no carry dreads for naija if not, they would have reduced the money I was bringing to Ireland.

The locals got pissed when they were stopped by the Guards and started spitting. Yes, they open their mouth and spat on the The Guards. Try that in Nigeria, That morning you left the house is the last time your family will see you. The guards was just told to ask you to return home, no arrest, nothing. The highest thing the guards did was to get their details so the Judge will smash their head with his Gavel in court, the gavel is the wooden thing like hammer. Lol.

The lockdown in a place like this is effective. Only reason a place like Lagos obeyed their own is because of the Brutality of the military. If not, for where.
Some people in Nigeria as I type think that the virus is caused by 5G, some think it's a government propaganda so people will stay indoors, some believe that they are covered with the blood of jesus and can waka anywhere, some people prefer to use a nose mask made with the torn pieces of the bible. Some think that Covik one nine does not exist.

Like I said at the beginning of the thread I want to bring people together to be informed.
.

You are a wise man.

Yeah that's one thing about the travel section (maybe Nairaland generally), some people just want to be in charge all the time not minding other people's views. They forgot that no matter how 'knowledgeable' you are, you can never know everything.

BTW I plan on visiting Ireland with you after Corona, don't say no o grin
Until then, stay calm (I know you won't grin) and have mercy on 'em boys grin

Hope to meet you in person someday.
By the way, how's migration to Ireland like? I'm a software developer, and hopefully i'll find it not so difficult to settle in.
I'd really love be in the Uk, sooner...

There's so much going wrong in this country and I'm not going to tell anyone to leave or stay, no, I won't tell you what to do with your future. That's a decision only you can/supposed to make. Leaving the country isn't running away as some people claim, it is fighting for a better future.

The way you stretched the boring though, got me laughing. Lol

UK and US remains the best for a fun filled lifestyle. I know a guy who migrated to Ukraine, baba was bored to death.

Stop being shy man, step out there and talk to someone cool when the lockdown is over. You might get ignored oh, but who gives a shit, talk to someone else again. Every girl can't be shy and avoiding.

Loneliness and boredom can make a man depressed.
If he now goes to Norway ko.

Women matter, I'm not shy o. The dating game is very different, you cant just walk up to a lady on the road and start toasting, she can call the guards. Only time you can do that is online and in the pubs. Those babes are there for that kind of attention. But still, one have to be careful. One should not go and talk to a babe and the girl is feeling you, and you not knowing her boyfriend is around With His FRIENDS keep giving her punchlines and she having a good time.
Maybe you smartly move to T or dare and start daring her to do wonders.
The kind of bottle that's destined for your head eh.
Hahaha.

The typical Irish boy is very shy. They have low self esteem. They can easily get jealous and all. For me, online remains the best place.

Hello nna.

What if I pursue this https://www.theopencollege.com/courses/qqi-healthcare-courses/care-skills-5n2770-fetac-level-5/ course online here in Nigeria, do you think they'll give it much regards? Being that the course was done online and outside Ireland.

Could you please help and ask them, since you'll get a response direct from the horse's mouth.

Your response will greatly aid my decision making process.

Thanks a lot.
This seems to be it.
Cos theres talk to move the fetac online to encourage social distancing and to get the needed hands.
Its expensive. I hear module 1 is about €200,
If its not that fee, check well ooo, if a typical naija Yahoo boy can clone Banks website, and they look exactly the same, just to be sure.

Lol, I never get motor here. I dont plan to have, getting a driver here will cost almost my entire livelihood, the major advantage of a car is when it's time for Groceries.

Having lived here in just months, I cant believe I ever saw that environment in my life. Can we blame the troll, these are what they see and ask if we still live in Huts?

This isnt easy I must say.
There were things the average Nigerian parents do even to this day that are totally unacceptable here.
Comedians made us love our parents inspite of all of their faults, by making light of it and cracking our ribs with humor.
This is why Trump many sins are overlooked. His humor is out Of THis WORLD. Some of what he says are Blunders but a good laugh mends alot of things.
If an Irishwoman is to listen carefully to what our comedians joke about our parents, she might roll her head and faint.
If ordinary animals will make dem be doing them like the world has come to an end, talk of human beings.
You'll see Nigerian parents that are too religious, they abuse their kids alot. Some will announce fasting when the child speak up for himself, some will call the child all manner of names even to critical issues like disability, normal youthful exuberance and adolescence behavioral change is already witchcraft.

I knew of one church in my area then, they specialize in casting out all manner of demons, from the one with Kleg to the one that walks like hes dancing Soapy. The prophetess as they call her, ministers with strong cane in her hand. She beats kids of 2yrs, youths, adults. Like a full grown man who works for his money might be sleeping while shes preaching and she'll lift up her cane and rain torment on his head. She calls it sleeping demon. You see
Na you carry your leg come meet am, arent you looking for solutions.
You're wondering how I know, it was when I passed covenant university post ume and I didnt get admission they thought my village people don dey eye me.
My mum dragged me there sha, as I was entering I saw this woman flogging demon out of a teenage girl, lump formed in my throat and I swallowed it. Me that like to sit in front of the pew, i made my way to the back. The look I gave the woman was out of disinterest. I thought it was children church till mature men and women poured in.
When she started looking at me to identify my problem, I headed towards the toilet. As if the canes that broke on my body in secondary school is not enough.

Private schools were thought to be easy to get in as long as you can pay the fees. I was never destined to go there.
Given all these abuse we go through, I knew it wasnt normal, when did Paul the Apostle ever used cane?
The only person that used cane was Jesus, at least we know hes the King of kings.

Perfectly understood bro. But why assume the worst? If you actually watch YouTube videos you'd see several blacks who interview or strike up some weird conversations with random white people just for fun? Did they get killed.

Even crazeclown did it, even broda shagi too, and these were random white people and it was very assuming. Why would someone call the guards on you for saying Hi? Did you steal from them?

No one has any right to hit you for saying Hi to anyone. I just believe having friends around you, could keep you on the safer side and help you avoid loneliness and boredom. Forget online jor. Lol

The easiest way to make friends is by extolling someone. The next time you see someone you want to he friends with in school. Compliment them about what they are wearing, if they give you a positive response. Baba, smile and give them that friendly gestures. Tomorrow, you can strike up another good conversation. Comot racism from your mind.

I read a content about a Nigerian guy who was falsely accused of a crime in Germany and he was almost penalized, but he had a white girlfriend who fought for him and until the issue was being resolved.

If you only think of the bad things that could happen when you talk to a white stranger then you might never get to meet new people that would be impactful in your life. Anyhow sha, na my own suggestion be this, flex on bro.

Mehhhhnn you brought back so many memories I locked away
Growing up with an African parents isn't easy, their olden days mindset and beliefs makes it even more complicated.

TBH, I'd say I trained myself. My parents mode of 'training' made me more dumb. I mean how can you be constantly hitting your child, calling him all sorts of names, threatened to end his life? That's more than 'abuse'

Picture that 13y/o boy going through severe abuse by both parents, he's always afraid in public, in the midst of people, he can't speak out or confront people cus he's afraid they'll hit him like his parents do, he's always afraid and shaking.

That was me few years ago. Took me a while to break free and redeem myself, even after I left them. I read books and watch videos, a lot. Smh
I've been able to form this 'shield' to guard myself against my past, gotta raise a happy family and I don't want any of those sh!ts reflecting in my life or family's.

Nigeria is a failed country and really lacking behind. God help us.

You captured it all with your last sentence aswear, and I just love how this trend is void of strangers and freaks tongue

Sparrow0:

Thanks a lot bro

There's so much going wrong in this country and I'm not going to tell anyone to leave or stay, no, I won't tell you what to do with your future. That's a decision only you can/supposed to make. Leaving the country isn't running away as some people claim, it is fighting for a better future.

Sparrow0 I felt emotional reading your story cry that should be your motivation that you must make it in life nd leave this country no matter what!! I hope all your dreams come true nd we will see your thread on travel section "the adventure of sparrow in....... " by God grace!

Chiggslover you dnt need a driver na,you just need to learn how to drive, get a driver license nd you can buy your car in installment pay. Bt Ireland is still quite comfortable without having your a car sef, their mode of transportation is quite comfortable for average citizens nd students.

He even claimed America is the best country grin
