Landing Gist. Family of 5. Happy new year all. I didn’t want my landing gist to have part 1 & 2; hence I waited for it to be almost complete. Hi, please I'd like to send you an email. Would hopefully be landing in Ottawa next month and I don't know anyone there. Would appreciate some advice. My account is new cause my other handle was banned. 1 Like |

Hello all, Please I need some clarification on an area for the purpose of tax filing. If a dependant was not in Canada as at 31 Dec (there is this specific question using turbo-tax) but had come into Canada twice during the year, how is the child's residency status described for tax purposes? Thanks, I would appreciate a regulatory reference if possible. |

Hello All. I'm looking for information about living in the Durham Region of Ontario. That is Pickering, Ajax, Oshawa, Whitby. Is there anyone on the forum who has experience living in these areas. Information like where best to rent. Ease of access to Toronto (assuming I'm to work in Toronto and live in Durham). Access to job opportunities, including various "survival" roles. I work in a regulated field and will take sometime to qualify in my profession. I would be grateful to receive information about the advantages of starting out life in Canada in this region. Note: the people who on this forum appear to live in these areas are not exactly active here. |

Hello everyone, Please I have a question. A friend did a short landing last year and intends to return in 2022 (he will be able to meet his residency requirements for renewal). However, he doesn't intend to file any taxes until after he returns. He says he will just file the back taxes. Can anyone advise on what the likely repercussions of this may be? He said he couldn't use Turbo tax as he is not in Canada Thanks. 1 Like |
