My BS/Birth Testimony
It was around this time two years ago I registered here for my first child after TTC, I had him in December 2018. I was looking forward to moving on with my career, getting a new job, acquiring skills and all that when I took in again for my second. I felt depressed, like my world & plans were crashing, how do I achieve all that with pregnancy & a 9months old? Infact I was called for an interview with a private firm while battling MS, only to fall sick that morning & lay in my room crying. Anyway I still chose to have him knowing what I went through to get the first, I just told God to glorify Himself in my life through this pregnancy & in all honesty, I began to enjoy God's favour all round. Two months into the pregnancy, I got a federal government job in a very good agency just by favour, a job where others pay huge sums or use strong connect, someone from way back in the university remembered me for how nice I was to him in school & decided to help me get the job. I acquired new skills & so many good things I never saw coming.
At 33weeks I had preterm contractions but thank God I eventually carried to term. I was scheduled for CS on the 16th, I went to the the hospital to see the surgeon on 15th with all my hospital things because I suspected I'd be done with everything late(NHIS, blood & rhogam) & considering the distance, it will be stressful going home by 2pm/3pm when I'm done just to come back to the hospital in the evening in preparation for the CS. I got admitted & was kept at the stage 1 room where I saw plenty drama from ladies who were already in labor/contracting. I was later moved to the post surgical ward so I don't get disturbed by women in labor at night. One lady later joined me. I was really tensed, couldn't sleep till about 2am, many what ifs, but I just placed all my worries & cares in the hands of He who knows best.
Next morning, I was prepared & taken to the theater, the surgeons prayed & while at the operation, they were trying their best to make me laugh & teasing my hubby because of his "oyinbo" accent. My baby was brought out few minutes later, I saw him & was overwhelmed with gratitude. Closed my eyes, struggling to remain calm while being stitched back, then taken to my ward upstairs. I didn't talk or move this time but I still felt neck stiffness 2days later & back pain 3days later. I feel so much better now though, baby is also doing great asides the jaundice we suspect he's having. We did the test today & will get the result tomorrow.
I am going for family planning next week during my appointment if possible. No child will take me by surprise again.

Good evening Mamas I circumsised my Lo last week via the ring method, took him back to the hospital today as we were told to do if the ring falls off, it isn't healed properly so we were told to apply pennicilin ointment but he has been crying and uncomfortable all day besides I noticed stain of blood on the diaper

Pls what can I use to speed up healing and ease pain?

Good morning mamas, please where can I get rotavirus vaccine for my son. I missed giving it to my first son and wont forgive myself if I miss it again. The nurse at the health centre I took the other vacciness yesterday told me to go to Lasuth which is too far from me. Please I need urgent response as we are already six weeks and I wont mind taking it today. Any one who has the idea of the price should also state it. Thanks.

Has the ring been removed? Give him pcm drop 2 timea daily. If the ring has been remove continue to put penicillin if it hasn't been remove, continue to drop olive oil religiously till it drops.

Congrats to all the mamas dropping it like it's hot.

Please I need help. I have been feeling very weak and dizzy. I just finished treating malaria 2 days ago. But I no longer have appetite for food. Cold drinks appear more appealing. I was noticing that dizzy feeling even before I treated malaria.

I have a feeling my pcv is low. I'll be going to the hospital tomorrow to make complains, but in the meantime, is there anything I can use to boost my blood fast fast? The sight of food nowadays makes me sick. Meat nko? I'll feel like throwing up sef.

Should I take Lucozade boost? Really, really weak and dizzy. I have not experienced this before. Please anyone with ideas should help me out. I'm 36 weeks gone.
Thanks

OMG...how I wish I'm d one who is 36weeks gone. I'm in my 33rd week...when will this July come now? I heard garden egg leaves boost blood, Gino tomatoes with malt and milk does too...dts what I'm abt to start taking to boost mine.

BS! BS!! BS!!!

Let me start my birth story by giving praises to God for making me feel the joy of motherhood again...This pregnancy happened the month i tot i was out and already making preparation for the next cycle( only TTC mothers can relate).... I placed myself on Clomid early august, why i was treated fir infection, took progesteron injection(11days straight on drips and injection) was already waiting for September AF but God showed himself and i tested postive September 5th.
This pregnancy was so nice to me, MS was manageable and my appetite was so on point, i was having contradicting EDD cos according to LMP Edd is 13th may but first scan gave me 23rd, my doc decided to go with LMP date when 13the came and no show i was asked to come for induction on 18th, i had no fear cos i ve experience it before.
10am on Monday 18th I and hubby went to the hospital without informing anybody, scan was done and i was sent to the maternity ward around12 was given a bed and patiently waiting for the process to start and finally meet my princess i ask hubby to get me food are 2pm so i go get strength to display and for the journey ahead...
Around 5:30pm half tablet of cytotec was insert cos i was already 2cm dilated before going to the hospital...30mins after the drama started but was still manageable and i kept urinating till are 9:30pm when the pain changed gear and drama and d screaming started the window net, bed iron and wardrobe beside me really suffered...Around 12am i told the nurse i want to poo she checked me and said i was just 3cm plus( i nearly fainted wen i heard cos with all those pain and 10cm looks like forever), few minutes later my membrane rupture and she checked and said i was 5cm, she was about setting drip to give me oxytocin but she was kind of slow and i had dis serious urge to poo, i toldbher d baby is pushing me and i won poo she behave as if she no hear and was busy setting d drip when i couldn't hold it again i started releasing heavy weight poop for them right there on the bed, wen she saw it and checked open my legs she started rushing and ask me to move to the delivery room, with pain i stood up from the bed and another round of pooing started i knelt down and released another round, after enough beating from the nurse asking me to stand up and moving to the delivery room, i stood up took only one step and i felt this pressure in my va*ina i open my legs touch it and felt something that look like head immediately i started screaming my baby is coming oooo, lie down back on the bed with d nurse screaming that i should stand up with just one push my royal rainbow baby jumped out with the sweetest voice and giving me small tears....She was taken to the delivery room cleaned up, weigh and brought back to the ward, my placenta was delivered and i was taken to the delivery room for stitching without any injection it was painful but the tot of my baby made me forget abt the pain..
The nurses said it was spontaneous labour cos i moved from 5cm to 10cm within 5--10mins but i know it was God that did his wonders and made me delivered right there in the ward with little assistance...We are back home and doing well...

I am going for family planning next week during my appointment if possible. No child will take me by surprise again.
