I have a foreign bank account linked to my PayPal account. I use it for shipping and also buy dollars very cheap from freelancer. So orna exchange rate from Aboki, no concern me. I also have a team of programmers here in Nigeria that I source most jobs for abroad, I get paid in $ while I pay them in ₦.

I don't keep much Naira in Nigeria unless I want to buy tbills and use the interest for something or even pay salaries with.

These are some of the things I meant by plan accordingly.

This man, you get mind ooo...from Bitcoin to Paypal. I dabbled into Paypal things in 2017 and i lost nearly 300k. Freelancers refused to retract money to their Fiverr account and Paypal just permanently limited the account. Since then, i no do Paypal transactions again ooo...very uncertain terrain

Some of the folks who move to Canada aren't moving because of lack of money. Indeed, some of the people who move had well paid jobs. There's just a sense of despair that a lot of people have in the future of Nigeria. You can have money and die due to medical negligence and no one gets punished. I'm not saying it doesn't happen outside Nigeria but there's a fair chance of restitution. A lot of people say they do it for their kids. Quality healthcare, education, security etc.
