Fabulouzjoseph: Life itself is not fair. Suffering and pain is part of human existence.
You are in a dilema any action you take now you will still end up hurting someone.
If you report: you are going to put your co-workers and their family in trouble, they will lose their job and they will also go to jail if not for life.
If you choose not to report you will be harming the md and she might lose her business.
either ways you are going to hurt people.
And as such i will advice you to focus on yourself and mind your business. Why should he think about his coworkers and their families? Did they care about the boss and her own family before stealing from her? We are too sentimental over issues. Someone is hard hearted enough to steal and you are talking about losing job. They should be given a pat on the back or letter of recommendation for being a thief 2 Likes |

ooh! I felt like crying after reading this your response. He succeeded in telling you about all the things that will happen to their family if you exposes them and didn't tell you what will happen to your employer and and her whole dependant?
I'll tell u a story. few yrs ago my kid sis
introduced me to this client . My first LPO
with that client was quite an amount. In
between making that supply, they went on
a Salah break, after the break I kept calling
the store keeper to let me complete my
job order so I could submit my invoice,
instead, this aboki kept posting me.
finally, the mumu called me for a meeting
and ask me to come along with my
delivery notes . I asked him how am I to
submit deliveries when we still had
unsupplied materials? The long and short
of this story is that we had #600k worth of
material left on that lpo. He asked that we
split the money. I quickly told him I didn't
have any deliveries but my manager did and my manager wasn't around with then.
I called the friend to this my client and
explained everything to him and he in turn
called the owner of the company.
Apparently, he did this same to all the
vendors who had LPOS during that period
. Imagine the reple effect. That company
had over 20 vendors and more than 200
staff strength . What would have
happened to all these people and their
numerous dependents if I had played ball
and we eventually ruined that company?
what are values? If you are in that woman's shoes and someone does this same to you, how will you feel? If you don't do your part and save that woman from those leeches, you live with it for the rest of your life. I've really got a lot of different opinions concerning this issue n I've decided to unveil d rogues. Thanks for your time sir |

Secondly, you wrote that your employer is generous and nice, do you think she deserves such treatment from her staff? Let the culprit face the law when they are exposed so others will learn. I suggest you send an anonymous message to the MD to reveal the theft going on or they get an auditor. |

[quote author=TheTrueSeeker2 post=89806742]Reminds me of my experience as an Industrial Training (I T) Student 300 L second semester Engineering student back then in an oil company in Bayelsa state.
After the HR processing, (medical, swimming test etc) for new intakes i was posted to Community Relations Department of the company and met my supervisor and HOD.
Two weeks into my job, my supervisor had to go on a compulsory 2 weeks leave and I was recommended for his temporary replacement given my exemplary leadership disposition. On my first day as the new supervisor in charge of ensuring all the speedboats to and fro the Rig are fueled and issued safety gadgets, I discovered a massive undercover deal between my supervisor, the company's boat drivers and the Beach Master running into several hundreds of thousands if not millions daily.
Continued... Here's a BRIEF detail of the deal. Depending on the number of staff scheduled for rig trip for that day, each speedboat carrying the required number of staff to and fro the rig is officially entitled to and given a daily 400 litre of fuel. So Admin office sends their list of staff going on Rig for that day, Community Affairs Supervisor adds extra 'ghost' names and beach master adds his own names thereby increasing number of supposed staff and speedboat going to rig for the day. For instance, say only 90 staff members including security personnel are really going on Rig for that particular day requiring only about 9 speedboats (10 on each boat) but on Supervisor and beach master's list you'll see 150 with several extra security boats, that means more boats would be added for the trip to be issued with 400 litres of fuel for that day. Meanwhile, fuel will be issued to all the boats including the extra 'ghost' ones that will collect fuel without going on any trip. The extra stolen fuel would be sold to black market fuel dealers right there at the jetty and all parties collects their shares.
This is just one aspect of the fuel deal. The safety (PPE) deal is another day's story cos the same contractor that supply's the PPE to the company had his boys around to pick and re-supply when fresh orders are made.
So on my first day in charge, I'd received the daily manifest from the Admin Office and my team (my official driver and security) headed for the jetty. I met the beach master (whom by this time had been briefed about me as the new temporary supervisor).
I got to work and presented the manifest for the day and we calculated how many boats would be scheduled for the trip including their PPE's for that day. The boat drivers and their union excos were all in the beach master's office with me at the jetty and I went ahead to brief them on the day's work. I told them we would have only 9 boats for that day and that the rest should leave and return the next day cos I noticed there were several excited boat drivers at the jetty waiting to be fueled.
As soon as I mentioned only 9 boats, I noticed increased side-comments and murmuring. Then one of the boat drivers asked the beach master in a very deep thugish voice "Una neva tell am watin dey?"
I looked at the beach master and he looked away from me as if saying please i don't want trouble.
The boat drivers then excused themselves from the room and asked to speak with the beach master alone outside. After their deliberation outside, they all came in and agreed to let me into the deal requesting my co-operation and participation in sharing the proceeds. They brought out another list and by the time they were done with their juicy explanation and calculation, I was seeing a share they called mine somewhere around N480,000 just for the fuel side for that day. This was sometime in 2002.
I didn't have to think twice about compromising or giving in to this plan. I KNEW I WILL NEVER BE A PART OF THIS FROM THE ONSET. All the while they were speaking and thinking they'd convinced me, what was going on in my mind was how to get out of this without getting strangulated by these desperate cabal. After their spokesman stopped talking for awhile and asked if I was in? I took a very deep breath and asked if they could let me sleep over it and give them an answer by the next morning. At first some wanted to protest insisting that I didn't have any choice and wondering why they were even giving me an opportunity to decide but somehow, they agreed to my plea and we also agreed to schedule only the required boats (9) no extra for that day pending my decision by the next day.
