Like it was stated here, the problem of Nigeria is not the leaders, but the Nigerians from whom a fraction of them becomes part of the leaders.

If you grant power to an average Nigerian he will misappropriate it, which is likely going to happen with community policing.
My own gross in all these, is that no one should make a non-performing government seem like not.
A party that can't even put itself in order, and a president who can't put his family in order.

Honestly I still don't understand how people rate footballers that played in this Era at per or even higher than some great players we have now.

I mean watching this match, it gives a vibe of two Ajebutter private schools playing against each other. See each of the teams when defending allowing the offensive team as much space as they need ....They even allow the ball to bounce around when passing or controlling the ball . The ball is just too loosely played around.

Sincerely I don’t rate the football they play during those era higher than what we have now

What I just don't get is when people say the same defenders we see in these old clips will stop some of the today's attacks like Messi, Ronaldo and others...when in fact the defenders of nowadays who have also benefited from the advancement in training, sports medicine etc cannot do the stopping.

The great defenders are mainly from the 80s and 90s i.e Scirea, Baresi, Bregomi, Sammer, Maldini etc with a few additions from the 70s. I can't think of a single universally accepted all time great defender who stopped playing before 1970.

One thing you have to remember though is that football ability is not all about athletic ability. Being faster and stronger does not automatically make someone a better defender.
Studying the game, maintaining focus, working on your craft everyday (rather than being on social media) are also important, and those guys did these things more.
Defending now is not as good as 2 decades ago because of rule changes but also because it is not as fashionable and players just don't work on it as much.

There is no central defender playing now who is near Scirea, Baresi, Beckenbauer level. Take Baresi (who i have always believed was the greatest) for example. His record in finals shows a lot of clean sheets and single goals conceded, compared to others who played in his era AND the so called great defenders of these days who win finals 4-3.

Of course, I am in support of community policing. There has to be an arrangement that works. We can still have a federal police like the FBI while states take charge of their respective internal security through the local government.

exactly. The Messis, Ronaldos and Hazards etcs will still dominate in that era just like those ones in that era that dominated will still dominated in this same era. All that is needed is the talent and work.
