You guys are not knowledgeable. Buhari didn't intervene that time because he needed Tinubu and Oshiomole. He wanted to be reelected too

It's a different ballgame altogether now
If Buhari didn't intervene then because he wanted to be re-elected, you think that he would be interested now that he has nothing at stake?

See, Buhari's intervention or no intervention is not a matter of being re-elected. It is just his nature. Buhari has shown since 2015 that when it comes to party politicking, he is taciturn, indifferent, detached and aloof. He doesn't care. If he do, he would have intervened in Obaseki-Oshiomole's fisticuffs from onset; not just now.

It took the prevailing of APC Governors on him before he showed any sign of intervention in the crisis that ensued during the attempts to remove Oshiomole as Party Chairman.

The major issue is that Oshiomole isn't as powerful in Edo as Tinubu is in Lagos. Tinubu is the Emperor in Lagos while Oshiomole is a Land owner in Edo

Many of the people saying Obaseki is not a coward like Ambode will come back here to say he didn't go down without fighting. Truth of the matter is, Ambode understood he was into a battle he couldn't win and he decided to use his brain rather than his fist. Obaseki has found himself in a similar situation, I mean, how can a single man fight a whole party structure in the state, not possible. I just don't see him scaling through the primary because a direct primary is just like a 'check-up' card in a game of 'WHOT'

Buhari cunning? In politics? May be when you are talking about religion or ethnicity. But in politics, Buhari is no where near the attribute 'cunning'.

Where was the cunning Buhari when Saraki manipulated his way into becoming the Senate President and almost used the Senate to pull down his government, but for the political intervention of people like Tinubu and Adams Oshiomole as a dogged Party Chairman?

Scared of who?
You don't know jack
people who accuse others of not knowing Jack are obviously the ones who know nothing.

If you are judging this issue from the legal point of view then you have to agree that the governor of Edo state should be very scared by now.

The presidency was also solidly behind Amosun as he was buhari's best friend among the governors and same with Ambode. I am sure you knew what happened thereafter?

This isn't about balls but legality. The NWC is also the body responsible for submitting names to INEC.

You need to ask Senator Amosun what happened to him and his candidate in Ogun state.

Governor Obaseki needs to prepare for the direct primaries because when the scripts flip, he will be on the strong side up

Oga 98% of una wen dey make noise so are not from Edo state..... Next month is just at d corner. But put in ur mind, dere is big big difference between ambode and obaseki, and dere is also big big difference between Edo and Lagos..... Let's just wait coming week. Una go hear wetin go suborbor.

Obaseki should have moved his structures to PDP. His chance of wining as a PDP candidate would have been far greater. Choosing to remain in APC to fight that political tactician is a very big gamble.

You have a point but remember he didn't dislike Saraki at that time.

Remember the statement he gave when Saraki emerged as winner

Buhari was even cosy with Atiku at that time

I'm not here to support oshiomole or obaseki one thing I know is that after 4 yrs of ruling if you're still scared of any kind of election it simply means you didn't govern well and draw the people closer. It's a big shame to Governors like that.

There's a way you'll work and create a good communication with the people that your own political party will be scared to loose you to the opposition party, they'll want to retain you for the purpose of Presidential elections .

But the kind of politicians we've don't understand politics once they're in office they flee from the people. If any politicians can have the characteristics of Fayose in terms of having good grassroots communication skills with the youths and work like Fashola or Akpabio it'll be difficult for any godfather to chase you out.
