I don't know what you're trying to achieve o but the Pouvior serious is very good.

For an average user you mean.

This is a phone I have used oh. What is your yardstick of "very good"?

first you need to understand TECNO's target market. They make device to fit the average user, not heavy user. For an average user, it is very good.

Sir I disagree. Tecno marketed the Pouvoir 2 for heavy users. The slogan was "always on". The LA7 was a crossover from the now defunct L9+. The L9+ was a 3G chipset too sef, MTK 6580A. A 2015 chipset. I used both phones.

The Pouvoir 3 plus and the Pouvoir 4 should tell you all you need to know.

The only good thing about the Pouvoir series is the battery but when you see that the MTK 6737 and 6739 are built on 28nm, that completely destroys the essence of the battery sef.

Let them tell consumers the truth about their phones and price it accordingly.

If a premium user knows that Camon 15 Premier (Helio P35) is a budget device and the SD636 on the Infinix Zero is better, which one do you think he'll buy?

If a gamer knows that the Helio P60 on the Nokia will give him a better gaming performance than the P22, he'll choose according.

Tecno doesn't put their processors on their advertising or on the phone cases. Only RAM and ROM. The same as Infinix.

But when Infinix manage use G70, they emblazoned it everywhere! That's the dishonesty. To me then, who gives a Bleep about processor? Or what did I care about the quality or size of sensor pixels, na megapixels concern me. Ignorance bro and they encourage it.

When SD 425 was used on the Infinix Hot 6, It was written every where on their ADs. you see stuff like "Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 for fluidity and effective performance" but if it is their Helio "P" gang, nothing will be said concerning the chip rather "Quad core" will be written everywhere.

I can't help but a agree with you but where you got it wrong is the advert of processor. You see, in marketing, there's what you call selling point. If a Tech savvy person really needs a device, off the top of my head, he should do an in depth research, TECNO didn't hide processors and whatever you need to know anywhere. They are an open book and you can check for there specs on any blog. So Where's the dishonesty coming from?

As a someone with some tech education now. I completely agree with you. But their devices are not aimed at people like me.

How many people can actually read specs and understand them?

They rely on marketers to interpret these specs for them and sadly these marketers are only interested in fulfilling quotas rather than enlightening customers.

you've said it already. That 'many people' are the target market cos they are the average users.

There is something called "full disclosure". It is a manufacturer's duty to list ALL the technical specifications of devices they produce and sell. Hiding something as important as a phone's SoC is very disingenuous. A very good example of this questionable tactic can be seen with the Infinix note 7 lite, special care was taken to hide details about that phone's SoC in order to give consumers the (wrong) impression that it is powered by the Helio G70 used in the regular Infinix note 7. All the information about a device should be available on a manufacturer's website, so as to eliminate ambiguity and confusion.

Did you check the website that you didn't see the full specs? Even on nairaland here when there is a live thread, don't you see all the specs? Even in the carton.

This is a blatant attempt to decieve the unsuspecting and ignorant Nigerians.

There are many CPUs running at 2.0 gigahertz that powervr running at 820mhz was very easy to track. Too easy in fact.

When some of your contemporaries have made erroneous claims to the contrary? Perception is very important, don't let your costumers start doubting your sincerity. I rest my case.

Luckily for both of us, we are literate in such matters making it virtually impossible to dribble us with such vague nonsense as a "2.0GHz CPU". But what of those who are not so informed? They will be deceived.
As an example, a 2GHz cortex A7 CPU cannot compete with a 2GHz cortex A53 CPU, same way a cortex A53 CPU doesn't stand a chance against a cortex A75 CPU.

That was till PUBG was released. My old gaming buddy from N.O.V.A. asked me download PUBG. I said it was nonsense but he convinced me and I did download it and it worked but, I couldn't see my avatar. Only the clothes it wore............. He understood my confusion and asked me to name my phone. I told him it was a good midranger and gave him the name. He came back and said "bro, you a smart fella, Why'd you buy a potato?".

Going to purchase my phone at the Effurun mall, I could tolerate the Samsung marketer but the Infinix marketer was the one I felt like strangling. He told me that my phone go spoil and I no go see parts. I ignored and got my Redmi Note 7 on the 9th of May 2019. There's no one that has handled this phone that hasn't fallen in love with it.
