Ijaw in Lagos? How did they fly from Delta Coastal areas to Lagos? For avoidance of doubt, Ondo coast line to Ogun to parts of Lagos is inhabited by Ilajes and Ijebu And a decent portion of Delta coastline was inhabited by ijebu and Ilaje communities who now call themselves Ishekiri. 7 Likes 3 Shares |

mystery22: Hmmm my brother if different individuals including the Bini can lay claim to almost all the habitable parts of Lagos, including even the coastal portions, then it is safe to say that Lagos is a nomansland. 20 Likes 1 Share |

Why don’t you go and make enquiry first. Have you forgotten that the ijaws area water ways are directly linked to Lagos. Remember how they came down to Lagos thru the water ways on rampage during the Jonathan era!! So my dear it’s possible they are full blown Ijaw as reported Amarabae: 1 Like |

sammyj:This is not true bruv The water areas of Lagos to Warri is inhabited by Ilaje and Ijebu clans Hence, even in the history of Ishekiris they mentioned that they were originally ijebu and Ilaje communities who were rulled by a Bini prince. 7 Likes 2 Shares |

Amarabae: Ijaw are coastal dwellers. They live and move on water. They are in Onitsha and virtually all areas in the South. They probably the first arrivals in Lagos. Liberate yourself from the lies of Afonja Third World Media. Aside Ijebu land who say they are not yoruba, Lagos was never a yoruba land. In badagry the settlers there are not yoruba. Tinubu is not even from Lagos. Neither was Ambode. Yoruba are claiming it because of proximity to SW region. Wake Up! 9 Likes |

hammerP:The people of Badagry are Eguns and their history of migration from Aja's kingdom in today's Togo is well documented Aja people have a long history with Yorubas as typified by the Oyo Yoruba conquest of Aja's offspring Tribe of kingdom of Dahomey in 1700s and conquest of Ketu by Dahomey forces in 1800s with the help of the Portuguese. Aja includes the Fon, Ewe and Egun people, they have nothing in common with Ijaws. Fon is intermarrige between Aja and Yoruba Ewe people trace their source to Ketu a Yoruba kingdom in today's Benin republic 17 Likes 3 Shares |
