I have a friend that has RN8 and he's having memory issues.. He doesn't have much music or pictures on his phone, should be about a hundred megabytes but he's having 7+GB as other files

I don't see any issue, other files can be data files, cache etc

Hello guys

I have decided to get RN8 or RN8 pro but I've seen people taking about flashing of ROM. I don't quite understand.

If you know about these phones well, please kindly drop your contacts so I can PM you on whatsapp. Thanks.

Also, what are the current prices of these phones? I don't trust Jumia prices

If you have no business with ROM Flashing you don't have a problem as long as you can afford the RN8 pro

Actually, the selling point of the Realme 6 series is actually the 90Hz refresh rate. Also, the Realme 6 is similarly priced with the Redmi Note 9 Pro (RN9s). If I were in India I'd pick the Realme 6 over the RN9 Pro because I play SO 2 and Real Racing 3 quite often and higher fps is always welcome.

1. Switch off your phone, then remove your memory card.
2. Switch your phone back on and let it run for a while. Study its behavior.
3. If the phone worked seamlessly without the memory card, then it is almost certainly a memory card issue. It is either the memory card is a low quality memory card, or it has gotten corrupt.
4. Try copying the files on the memory card to another storage device, then proceed to format the card. After formatting, run some diagnostic tests on the card.
5. If your phone behaved the same way after removing the memory card, then there is probably nothing wrong with your memory card. I will advise that you perform a factory reset on your phone.
it's most likely his memory card,I had the same issue in the past.I was thinking it was the phone so I had to remove the memory card thinking i was securing my files only for the phone to be back to normal after removing it although it rendered the SD card slot useless.

I don't know if I'd have business with it or not that's why I asked what ROM flashing is all about and why people do it

For some, it is a sport, some a hobby and some just to join the bandwagon.

So if you don't mind buy your phone and enjoy it.

not really, I used the Mi A1 which came with the 625, the performance was good though, maybe I'll opt for the Mi A4, I hope the wait would be worthwhile, or what do you think, should I opt for something different, I love flashing of ROMs though, and other tweaks, my budget na 85k+
