Then why do you have utter resentment over someone or a group of people who boldly come out to declare their dissatisfaction over this erroneous contraption called Nigeria? WHY?

You seem to get it wrong.

The real issue is not the wealthy Northerner but the large pool of uneducated ones. If it was not just that they were uneducated, but are uneducated and proud of it. With 80% of Sokoto indigenous uneducated for instance, these stats are frightening.

Presently in my place in Lagos, we rented out our backyard to an Igbo guy to use as a car lot. The gentleman is detribalized. His assistant is a Yoruba man and the 3rd man is a Fulani from Ghana. Recently, we decided to rent out the entire house to him and he now employed a Fulani and a Hausa to protect his cars.

The next thing was they started inviting other Hausas to come to sleep within the compound. They were everywhere, sleeping in the open. It was shocking. I'm at loose ends of what to do: drive them out or take pity on them. Many have no character.

It is this high level of backwardness that shock and worry many Southerners. It is just isn't acceptable. It is worsened by the fact that Northern leaders have been complicit in this backwardness.

Your anger seems to stem from the derogatory way many here talk and I don't blame you. I have been at the end of it at times and I just shrug.

It won't be a bad idea if the Northerners were the best educated in the Sahel or even the world. Not just a few, but a majority.

That's a major point. So much poverty in the midst of plenty. When viewed in the light of roaming almajiris, homeless beggars et al, it's most disheartening. My people say...Olowo kan laarin otosi mefa, otosi ni gbogbo won ( hope I got it right). It literally means that a rich man in the midst of six poor men is still a poor men.

A community is healthier, safer and happier when the difference between the rich and poor is not too wide. A peep into the IDP camps is another sad story.
The poor will always be with us no doubt. However, they don't have to be wretched and hopeless while the few rich flaunt so much wealth.

For me, the need for societal consciousness applies to all tribes. Same way that all that has gone to NDDC has not had a meaningful impact on the society beyond enriching a few. The trend is the same everywhere but the impact is more evident in the North.

The biggest clowns here are the "We the South South crew" who think Igbos are their problem... una never see anything, as a matter of fact since you guys want to remain and think like the minorities that you are (I mean the so called South South crew), I encourage Igbos who own oil wells to also flaunt their arrays of flashy automobiles on social media just to be petty... as una decide say Igbos be una problem, oya na o set ti go.

I think I agree with u, is a shame that those who are the real owners of the source of wealth of this nations can't even see 1/4 of the proceed, the question here is if the coin was flipped will these guys remember they have brothers down south .

I think most will tell u they deal on diamonds, Gold, precious stones but truthfully the undertone of these wealth is not far from oil money.

Major reason they want to die on the presidential seat, even when it's obvious we are not making any progress as a nation.

Nigerian president has a lot of power and them having that power will be able to control both the military and other arm of governance. They will never support any restructuring or even breakup of the country.

Post of the day!

They’re so far gone in their Stockholm syndrome that they don’t know a opportunity when they see one! I think their major problem is that the people that could reason and lead the charge for them are all wrapped up in their own selfish preoccupations....looking for the next political opportunity; next amnesty money; next NDDC contract/employment; or next opportunity for engagement as a party thug! They’re their own worst enemy!

Why are you crying more than the bereaved.
It's not cool nwanne. We need to stop this.

You don't merry on a neighbor pains, even if they are naive neighbors.
You let them be, if they don't want your help, and try to help yourself first.
This is why we are beseeching IPOB to jettison the minorities and concentrate on Igboland.

Crude oil is either going to run dry or become like coal. What do you think would happen by then if we remain in Nigeria?
Our lands have natural gas. We are not short of shortsighted greedy leaders who would sell us off too.
Time is ticking. We need haste. Leave the minorities, they can't be saved by anyone, focus on saving ourselves first.

We are made up of minority tribes that's why, we have our internal issues with each other even before oil urhobo vs itsekiri vs ijaw vs ikwerre. And we can't seem to work together as a group and our voices aren't loud enough as a smaller unit. The minority curse
If Niger delta was ethnically homogeneous, we wouldn't have tolerated this ill fated union called Nigeria. If crude oil was situated in SE/Sw the story would have been different not because you are better but because you are larger, homogeneous and a single unit

Brother we are on the same page, I'm just throwing it back on the faces of those naive minorities who contrive to blame Igbos for all their woes, some even joining with the North and Yorubas to insult us... meanwhile the same people whose behinds they kiss are the same people using their resources to wash toilet.

No need to do so.
As far as they are concerned. You are only interested in them because you want to replace the Arewa/Oodua alliance and milk them.

When you merry on their pains, you increase their susceptibility to manipulations at the hands of that alliance.

How hard can it be for Ndiigbo to pretend like the minorities don't exist. To ignore threads like this one and allow them ponder on their own miseries while we ponder on ours.

I don't mean to dictate for you what to do or not do, so pardon me if I come across as being pushy. Just can't help myself.

Good for Dangote et al then, and Nigeria, although you didn't provide a shred of evidence for your claim. That said, I don't give a rat's ass about where the person paying taxes comes from. I'm only impressed when a citizen does his civil duties to the country. I still see nothing impressive about people purchasing overpriced liabilities. And I just realized that commenting on this thread was a mistake on my part, after considering the psychological disposition of the OP. Good bye and enjoy your thread..
