[quote author=stcool post=89952529]Good day all, please I need info for a friend. A friend wants an investment that can guarantee 10% - 15% per annum. He is an Igbo businessman and used to invest in treasury bills hence he is looking for another investment opportunity. He does not want to do fixed deposit due to low rates, No stock market. *Initial investment N20M Anyone knows any good investment/assets management company that can deliver. Preferably an investment house may be bank/ insurance subsidiary etc that can pay a return of 10 - 15 % per annum. Thanks cc: Oracle, Pa Emma, CoolCash, Loco, etc. Kindly help. [/quote I will suggest 30% of capital in VGIF with Gurranteed 8.5% interst and extra 35% of funds profit, 30% in Zenith Bank shares and 40% sukuk bond Incase any business show up he can quickly cash out of VGIF without penalty since interest is earned daily and paid twice a year, though Zenith is equity, dividend is sure since 2004. Sukuk 11.2% is double sure for Seven years. 2 Likes 1 Share |

RabbiDoracle: This is more like it... good one bro !! I remember advising a colleague to buy into BTC @ $6,370. He refused to buy saying it was a bit too expensive then... but later went back to buy @ above $10,020 without notifying me. Weeks later, he dashed to my office bunk, shivering with fear after it went down to $8,900. I could feel his heatbeat pulsating really fast. ...dude was in sky high panic mode. I had to advise him to take a chill pill and relax because it would still rise back above his entry peg. ...my projection is a near $14,730 price. The Fed does not want BTC to gain prominence but folks are massively taking position given the immense liquidity brought about by this pandemic. ...people are seeing it as another good store of value. Technically, the asset recently made a golden cross. It's a good place to be. But then again, I love them those coys in this ur post !! 2 Likes |

You are a very smart dude. The problem with certain folks is that they live in a delusion which beclouds their reasoning to think that everyone else is dumb [might even be rightly so as most people these days just leap without first investigating]. Notice how such people now resort to total falsehood or silly remarks when their effort to deceive falls apart. My brother I'd advice you save your efforts to analyze the markets to profitability. You're on a dead horse beating venture. Although if you're patient enough, you'd get a response within the timeframes of the next 2 olympic games. Cheers. next RabbiDoracle: |

dipoolowoo: for CSCS, bumper profits and dividends are now being announced. The day the general public will become shareholders, you'll start hearing stories of meagre profits and losses in some years. That's when stories about how Nigeria is a difficult place to do business will start arising. 5 Likes |

Thank you sir Onegentleguy, thank you for taking your time to derive the formula. I wanted to clarify on your final mark down price of 20.7 with respect to maintaining capitalisation before and after markdown, but you have cleared the air by aligning with @ Rebekah. The formula :Mark down price(Mp)= [(Pbm-Dd) X Br/(Br+1) is simple and clear. Thank you and welcome back. Modified as adviced. |

Coolcash1: Govt cannot default on Naira denominated instruments. They will simply print more money. Default can be on the Foreign currency instruments like Eurobond, as they have no control over those currencies (they need to earn it as against printing it). 5 Likes |

Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by onegentleguy: 8:51am On May 26, 2020 |
onegentleguy: MishdaFish: No the correct formula I deduced is; Mark down price(Mp)= Pbm- [Pbm[Br/(Br+1) + Dd] and not the one u mentioned. Note how the brackets was put out so u'll know how to compute with the symbols to arrive at the correct answer. U can see how I deduced the formula from my initial post that was edited. ...one small, see the edited post above. And yes I initially did align with @ rebakah' N21 estimate but that's because I made a typo error even though I used the formula above. So am sorry, but @ rebakah' estimate is also wrong. The correct answer is N20.7 if we assume a N27.2 equity price for JULIUS BERGER before mark down given the N2 dividend and 1 for 5 bonus declaration. Like I said before; Anyone who sees confusion in the mix can do a check by inputting any figure using the formula. Pls do well to be guided accordingly. 2 Likes |

emmanuelewumi: How is that possible? |
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Coolcash1: 8:55am On May 26, 2020 |
otomatic: Printing money as logical as it may sound comes with grievous economic and financial implications for the government. It simply gives government security bad rating, causes panic, and discourages investors to hold such investment. The other implications that come with QE for such an unproductive and debilitating economy like ours will further send it into comatose and possibly nail it to the coffin. 3 Likes |

leo1234: The shares of CSCS, Friesland Wamco, DUFIL makers of Indomie, Afriland Properties, Niger Delta Exploration, NIPCO plc and some other companies can be bought on NASD. Tell your stock to open NASD account for you, provided your broker has the licence to trade on NASD stocks. 5 Likes 1 Share |
