U mean u haven't sold down(even if its a part of ur holding) since then?
Are u sure u have not been taking "more than the required dose of patience"?
Sometimes u need to sell a stock when it rides up to a great premium above ur entry price and buy back when u see it "persecuted" for no just cause.
"The reason why discerning men sometimes fight and run away, is so they could live to fight another day" wink cheesy grin

While WEMA is a great pick @ the current mkt price, take note to learn from the writings herein.
The KEY is NOT with having the required PATIENCE, but having the RIGHT DOSE OF IT !!

"In the stock market, the BRAVE ONES often "fight and continue to do so", but the SHREWD ONES know when to "fight on" and when to "fight and run away".
...the problem is that the market usually prefer to award "the WINNING medal" to the latter group"
~Sinclair

"When the stock market request for 'a drink' from u, give to it but ONLY if its a sound but cheap one.
...and when it offers u 'a drink', take a sip, then drink a bit more but try NOT to get intoxicated.
It's a great way to benefit more from 'him' over TIME."
~Sinclair

"If ur answer to weather u've experienced more losses than wins in the stock market is YES.
Then FIND OUT if ur answer to weather u've grown with different INSIGHT at different STAGES of ur development is also a YES.
...but before then, ENSURE that that growth was BUILT on the REQUIRED FOUNDATION."
~Sinclair

"If u plan well ur VISION, u will often times execute ur MISSION. But in between that planning and execution MUST come KNOWLEDGE, STRATEGY and DISERNMENT.
...otherwise u might well be 'a prisoner of war' to the stock market and the intelligent few in it."
~Sinclair

"If u want to KNOW if u can SUCCEED in the stock market, then 1st find out where u fall in between SMART, INTELLIGENT and DISCERNING.
...but remember that the market has been CONFIGURED to have and work with all 3 attribute as a collective."
~Sinclair

"The market will sometimes present a discerning investor with 'souvenirs'.
...often times, they are even 'bigger gifts' for lesser monies.
The problem however, is with knowing when to indulge it on an exchange.
...for therein lies ur pathway to success !!"
~Sinclair

Do well to note these 6 nuggets. It will help u !!

It hasn't been my intention to stay in this long. I spent a good part of 2019 averaging down and in the process acquired a lot of units cos I refused to let my 100% diamond bank loot go just like that.

My cost is now N0.65
Almost at the finish line.

News of having a vaccine around December.

U.S. coronavirus deaths are approaching 100,000, more than double that of any other country, according to data compiled by Johns Hopkins University. Across the country, Americans observed Memorial Day weekend with some states reopening beaches and other outdoor areas. Merck, meanwhile, has entered the vaccine race, announcing Tuesday it has teamed up with research nonprofit IAVI to develop a potential candidate.

WARNING! WARNING!! WARNING!!!

its caverton i sold off by mistake last week, i will be glad to reload heavily going forward. cool i was able to use the mistake sell-money, to enter fbnh at 4.70. so sometimes a mistake is a blessing in disguise.
Jide, its somehow difficult to convince someone that you didn't sell off cos you anticipated reduction in 2019 dividend.
Anyway, since you said it was mistake, let's assume it was........but we should remember not to hoard info should we be privy to one.
Caverton is not bad at current price but the level with which guys here were condemning the stock is worrisome.
The good thing however is that Mr. Market will do what Mr. Market will do irrespective of Nsempas opinions, I just feel for those who would lose money out of panic cos of all these negative opinions.
Someone even mentioned N1. shocked If someone could be waiting for Zee at N5, then this shouldn't come as a surprise. tongue
The thing is: anyone that doesn't have the stock does not need to create unnecessary panic with the aim to enter at cheaper price, just leave it for those having it to deal with the headache. Shikena!

Emmanuel, i will have to disagree with you for the first time to avoid newbies being misled.

Government can surely default. Please read about Argentina's case.

I would like to point out they defaulted in a US dollar denominated bond, not an Argentinian Peso denominated bond.

The US stock market is moving too fast. It needs to go in tandem with reality. More like wait- and-see slow rise (though not falling like in March and not rising too fast).

But I'm watching sha and comparing data.

On EM front, I don't see any issue for now because most money will go chasing yields in most EMs. So na to siddon dey wait for them. grin

Peter, Year low of caverton was 2.03. Where did you see the 80kobo? Can you state the date within the last one year where it sold for 80k?
Think you should just stick to your uacn you're busy doing jijo and monkey hunting.
Once you enter you start promoting with good news, once out you start bringing bad bad news just to re-enter cheaper again.
Quite some coys will feel the covid heat, so no need to bad mouth one out of many.

Caverton even traded below the price Peterichy started.

5th October 2016, Caverton was selling at 64 kobo.

I don’t actually think peter is monkey-hunting on this particular issue. Remember Pa Emma saying something like “A delayed result, is most likely a bad result”.
The market is bound to react. Whoever is selling or buying is doing so at their own risk/benefit, due diligence should always be applied.

Considering the UK govt sold negative yielding bonds last week, that yield chasing is on point to deliver in EMs.

Sir, I was asking him about the 52wks low.
If you read his quoted comment again, you will see that he said before Covid19, reason I asked him where he saw 80kobo.
Boss, from that 64k it has traded with over 300% gain thereafter.
Why is it that nobody came out to condemn the stock before they released the result?
Anyway, what I saw from the posts were quite different from the normal one you're talking about sir, grin .....make dem no go start another trouble here again sha.

Good day all, please I need info for a friend.

A friend wants an investment that can guarantee 10% - 15% per annum.

He is an Igbo businessman and used to invest in treasury bills hence he is looking for another investment opportunity.

He does not want to do fixed deposit due to low rates, No stock market.

*Initial investment N20M

Anyone knows any good investment/assets management company that can deliver. Preferably an investment house may be bank/ insurance subsidiary etc that can pay a return of 10 - 15 % per annum.

Thanks
cc: Oracle, Pa Emma, CoolCash, Loco, etc.

Kindly help.

I can introduce you to the bank I work in where you can negotiate the rate for FD.

Opening NASD account is very easy, buying NASD Plc stock is difficult. The company has just 100 shareholders and they don't sell, those who sell do so to their friends
