@ Crushsugar, are there any medical conditions that could prevent one from being granted Visa or even practising over there? If there are, please can you mention them? Thanks. |

I have been thinking about what to post this period that our movement is home and work. It is allowed to take walk though and this picture is from our evening walk today. What I want to share is what I have noticed about British people. 1. They are hardworking and believe you work to earn money except some persons who are proud to keep receiving benefits. In my opinion, these are the minority group. They are ready to work overtime to pay their extra bills like holidays, saving to buy a house, phone, electronics etc. 2. British people will not dash you money for no reason. 3 . They cannot Express emotions like us. Like being upset, they way they look upset is nothing compared to a Nigerian that is upset. So, you might not actually know someone is angry just because they show it differently. 4. They hardly hoot while driving. In fact the only sound I have ever heard on the road is siren. Someone had even told us that if you hear someone horn, that person is probably very angry with you. The only people that maybe use their signal is bicycle riders but rarely. They are very patient on the road. 5. They can talk wella. We believe in keeping things to ourselves but them no care. These are the ones I can remember now. Stay safe. 21 Likes 3 Shares

Igbasonproff1: I know about TB. That is all they would test you for before the Visa. Others like HIV and hepatitis is a personal discussion one will have with occupational health but no employer is supposed to reject anyone because of these. 5 Likes |

@crushsugar pls I want to ask a question or better still seek your opinion following the part of nursing,I have found out that going through jamb, post ume is one process I'm scared about especially in aspect of ASUU strike et al. Then school of nursing the rigidity is much,u must live in the school premises if you are single...its not going to be easy as I still need to hustle to foot my bills. so I googled, and read that one can go for nursing through post graduate studies although I saw just two schools that do that for now.. please what do you think,is it advisable doing a PGD in nursing, can it fetch me a job in the UK, can it also fetch me a job here in Nigeria (federal hospital job), Pls advise ma 1 Like |

crushsugar: Hello crushsugar. I have been following this thread and found it very informative. God bless you. Please what would be your advice for someone recently offered a job in the UK on a tier 2 visa with 4 dependants (a wife and 3 kids)? The company will only reimburse travelling and direct visa application expenses for me and none of my dependants and i dont have the financial muscle to sponsor all of them till i get there and start working. Is it advisable to go to the UK alone first and bring them over within the next 6 months when i must have made enough? Is application for a tier 2 dependant visa over there seamless? You anticipated response is highly appreciated. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Nad95: You can do pre-registration nursing (MSc. ) It's 2 years in uk |
Re: Adventures Of A UK Bound Nurse by FrannyTee(f): 10:43am On Jun 10, 2020 |
DrLuv: Yes you are right for those without BSc in nursing, they can go for MSc pre-registration nursing for 2 years |

You are wrong..how can one without b.sc go in for M.sc? FrannyTee: |
Re: Adventures Of A UK Bound Nurse by Slimgold2019: 2:47pm On Jun 10, 2020 |
Do you mean someone can go for Pre-registration Nursing (Msc) irrespective of whether you have first degree in any other course (ie Economics) as my case & would be able to work after completion & registered with NMC in Uk.. |
Re: Adventures Of A UK Bound Nurse by Arhmiee(f): 3:16pm On Jun 10, 2020 |
Kaycevit: The information is 100% correct. In UK, you can apply for 2 years MSc Nursing program that leads to registration irrespective of what you studied in Bsc. Though most schools will want a science related Bsc and 2.1 and above. Some need work experience in a health care setting. |
Re: Adventures Of A UK Bound Nurse by FrannyTee(f): 4:42pm On Jun 10, 2020 |
Slimgold2019: Yesssssssss ohhhhhhhh. You can, very well. In 2 years only you might not spend up to 2 years self maybe 20 or 21 months depending on your intake. You can even apply by yourself and you will get the course 2 Likes |
