also a pharmacy student currently in my 200 level. first semester 100level was cool, was serious and all gp was good and high, fast forward to second semester i screwed up no need of even checking my result cus i know there will be alot of carryovers, started 200level on a sad and depressed mood everything was just not making sense anymore friends still think i'm the same guy they used to know in 100level first semester, before the corona break we were preparing for exams, and some where planning on sitting with me i was thinking of how i'm entering another crisis of carryovers. thank God for the break i have worked on myself and the passion is back can't wait to pick up

You are somewhat correct. I don't understand when students as well as graduates testify that they were given fake admission. I some times see it as desperation on the part of the student(s) that landed such people into the mess. For instance, I was denied admission three consecutive times after scoring above 200 and successive score in them. However that didn't make me desperate. When I finally had a score that was convincing that no federal University in Nigeria can deny me admission, I was not only happy, I was confident while in the lions den (UNN) whenever we hear certificate verification is to be taken place that I am free. Mind you, I was offered admission in three federal University (same course) but I chose UNN.

During registration and certificates verification at Ekpo Ref, I wasn't scared. Final year certificate verification, I only paid the required money we were asked and I went to sleep.

In summary, we should be sure that we are not doing what we are not supposed to do. It backfires more especially in UNN. Shalom

The write-up is too long.. Who can summarise..

Academic balance was achieved in 300 level then and so progressing across levels were easier. This balance and joy of soon to be a pharmacist was truncated in 400level second semester when my admission was questioned and subsequently suspended. It was heartbreaking and mentally draining but then it thought me a lot.

My admission was questioned and my graduation suspended. Does this really matter anymore? No it does not. The most important thing is I left UNN and came to my place, Edo state. I wrote another JAMB and got admitted again into the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Benin and that was where my second ‘missionary’ journey began.

Does it matter? Yes, it does.

You need to explain why your admission was questioned and suspended, for one reason or another you're presenting yourself as someone that has overcome adversity but one I suspect you are someone of questionable character.

It's not true. I've seen so many people who are non-indigenes, but went directly to the local government of residence and were offered LGA indigeneship. LGA status letter is easier to get. People go with someone they know and it'll be given to them. Besides, you must present it in first year registration.

Life would be more beautiful when we do things based on what our conscience says as Humans, we were created with conscience not to just dump it, and follow strict rules we created for ourselves. Just see how the will pity her, had it been she is the VC's, a professor's or a powerful politician's daughter. That's why sometimes I agree with those that says laws are for the poor, especially in Nigeria. This law in particular is too strict, because she had spent almost 4 years in the medical school before she was withdrawn. The money + The time + The stress + risks etc. Only if you know the amount of money spent on an average undergraduate per session.

I've seen three people called to panel for examination malpractice, 2 were expelled.the third one was pardoned because he's dad is a senior lecturer. The 2 that were expelled were caught talking to each other, can you imagine, the judgement passed on them was too strict, because they are already in their final year.

Solution: We are not robots that just pass judgement based on rules and regulations written in paper. expelling someone in year 1 and someone in year 4, for breaking the same rules. We are humans, we should be considerate.

Nigeria is an unfair society, but exam rules say don't talk to each other period. If we want credible leaders then it must start at our schools where ethics and integrity are not taken for granted. Expelling the two students was harsh, they should have been allowed to retake the exams the following year.

But the morale about this inspiring story is that she didn't throw in the towel.
Many would have given up, but she didn't.
It's not surprising that she later became SUG president of uniben.
That's someone with a great unconquerable spirit!!!
And her story is very inspiring
