That animal is one of the Mongoose varieties native to Nigeria. These ones move in groups of between ten and twenty family members, rummaging for food in the undergrowth. In Yoruba land, these animals go by the name of OTOLO.

The mongoose family are known for their snake-killing prowess, so the death of this mongoose will likely cause one of Nairaland's esteemed moderators to pause for a moment of sober reflection about the loss of a very capable and ferocious ally, in his fight against snakes.

That is right. Asin a very dangerous rats which kill chickens in cruel manner and i beleive its not edible because of its poisonus nature of bite like snake. He needs to discard it asap.

I said I should use the space to ask a question. My cousin always makes sounds when sleeping, both at night n during the day. I get scared hearing it, like his in freight and I'll have to wake him up out of ear of the unknown. He'll wake up a and i expect him to say what the dream is all about but he won't and go back to sleep. Anyone who knows if it's health wise related or spiritual something?
