My wife has failed 4 out of 5 pregnancy test she has done at home.

Is it that her body doesn't produce enough HCG?

Or is it that there are so many non qualitative pregnancy test strips in pharmacies?

Or did she conduct the tests poorly?.


Mothers in the house, what's the best way to conduct a DIY pregnancy test at home?, Or kindly suggest products which are very reliable?, or should we conduct a blood test or go for a scan?

Note she has missed her period for over 3 months now. The pregnancy line is visible already on her Tommy and so many other pregnancy signs are present.

Try "Accurate" that should help

No it is not.Did you go for scan?If it is up to three month it should be visible on scan.If you have done scan and still the same thing then proceed to TVS(trans vaginal scan) and if it does not pick anything then it is her mind playing with her.

Op, at three months, you should already been seen by your Gynae. A blood test should’ve been done and scheduled scan visit. Foetal heartbeat should’ve been detected also ( I may be wrong )

I hope your wife’s case is not all these fake fertility clinics, that give her concoction to drink that mimics pregnancy symptoms and even a big belly. Just go to a diagnostic lab and order a pregnancy test with blood drawn. You can never go wrong with a blood test.

There are many reasons a woman may miss her period.

pt strip might not be able to pick ectopic pregnancy because of the slow production of hcg in her urine.

She should carry out a blood test in a reputable laboratory or better still see a Doctor.

The kind of strips available now picks up pregnancy even before you expect your next period.
Definitely by 3 months, it would pick up something whether ectopic or normal. But of course, I don't expect an ectopic at 3 months
Blood test is still more reliable truly, and a scan too.
