Hi guys, I intend getting the 2007/2008 Is 250 is there any issues I should be looking out for? Can I get Decent Fuel mileage (it’s a v6 so I am not expecting good but decent fuel save) .

Good car. 2007 is fine.

Great car, low ground clesrance tho.
It consumed about 65 liters when i drove one from Ibadan to Abuja.

It's a good sports sedan, it's very complex than it looks. It's low to the ground and it's steering is EPS, avoid flooded areas and you'd be fine, if not, be prepared to buy brand new EPS 650k the last time I checked around January last year.

And the worst part is I am torn between it and the 2009 Camry SE v6 cause I hear the i4 burns oil

I know they are not friends with fuel economy. However some are more fuel efficient than others so which gets decent gas mileage amongst them all?

They're all good and have decent fuel economy. Personally, I don't know how to explain fuel economy in v6s. As I've never been a fan of such explanations.

Ok thank you very much for the advice what’s the Premium Unleaded fuel I hear that’s the type of gas it uses. Can such be gotten in Nigeria? lol

To bring out the best performance, use premium fuel, but in Nigeria, no such fuel exist, use what ever good fuel you see, you'd be fine.

Good buy. My customer bought one recently. Not too roomy but good buy.

True. A Lexus 1999-2003 RX300 V6 (17+L /100km City) has worse MPG than a 3.3L V6 Toyota Highlander(13.3L/100km City and better combined MPG). Even Highlander 3.0L fares better the RX300.

Luxury cars are not made to be cheap, performance cars are not made to sip fuel and economic cars are not made to be expensive to run.
The fuel economy of a V6 Accord or Camry will be same as IS 350 but IS250 will be close to a 4 cylinder Camry.
Parts will be a little more expensive if they are not shared with Camry.
The best fuel economy for a luxury brand will be their hybrid version but most buyers buying luxury do not consider fuel economy as critical.

You'd be very surprised. Those cars require premium, you won't be getting near a Camry i4's fuel economy.

It's rather ironical that I should be the one telling you this but you did. Anyone who goes thru your profile and comments will easily deduce you're a sadist. So no need trading words with a sadist like you.

From the moment you got your mind to desire an IS250 V6, ignoring other four cylinder vehicle(s) should also be the moment you removed fuel economy from your expectations. V6 is not a guzzler as the typical Nigerian will call it, but it's also not a fuel efficient. In my opinion I'll always prefer a V6 to a four cylinder; simple reason is the durability of those engines are way beyond the so called fuel savers. Buy a V6 and Take away the driving stress from your head and place it on your engine.
