Deicide: Trust me, I have seen death in the physical and in the spiritual. People that are crossing will be losing the battle even in their response. People that still have a mission to fulfill will give appropriate response. If you' ve been to intensive units, u will understand the above facts very well. You will observe that most people that die often exhibit that "hopelessness and goodbye" tendency, and most people that comes back have that fighting and hopeful spirit. Some of those that comes back do have tales to tell. They will tell you they have actually seen beyond this world. It's a grace not for all. 1 Like |

From my childhood days I used to have sleep paralysis. It was very scary, until I discovered it was called sleep paralysis and what it meant. From then onward, whenever I have sleep paralysis, I'm aware of what I'm having, so I just relax and wake up. 1 Like |

Ephesians 6:12, NIV: "For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms." Whenever you experience such, dont be deceived, the devil will always give scientific explanations to serious spiritual warfare. Brethren, be wary, spiritual battle is real. Pray and get close to your maker. 8 Likes |

goldtube:Technically, sleep paralysis is when you're very conscious that you've woken from sleep but it's practically impossible to get out of bed because you can't move your legs or hands and can't even speak out. Your eyes might be wide open and the consciousness is there of happenings within your immediate surrounding but to get up or move your limbs is not possible for some seconds. It will feel like something or SOMEONE is pressing you down from getting up. It is usually an oppression because you're practically powerless. Dream is something you had in your unconscious state (while asleep), prior to waking up. Hope that help to clarify them a bit? 1 Like 1 Share |

BigJay7: In the end, it's not real, right? Since I'll have to make use of my imagination. With the way you describe it, it sounds like the brain is just playing a trick on you by making feel like you are exploring... Besides...if it were real, I'll pass. What you don't know can't kill you(in this case) 1 Like |

So why would everyone(mamay, papay,Prayoo etc)believe one person over you. Were you giving them the wrong impression about yourself? PS: I'm a Backsliding Born again Christian. |

Kayceo2010: So many interpretations of sleep paralysis that you don't know which to pick as the true cause(s) of it. From experience, I've seen that at times prayers don't stop it; if you like do deliverance for church, na still the same thing. Its almost like your prayer before sleep was not answered or prayers are just fake. You can wake up and run thoughts you shouldn't run because you may feel you were left weak after praying for that demon to get lost but the bastard still pressed you. At times you are so frustrated you want to fight the spirit when you wake up. Oyinbo call it 'sleep paralysis' and you are like them dey press oyinbo too for night?. Me too wonder o. That shit pass wetin oyinbo fit explain. i remember back then when i was being pressed, the force the weight of a building and i was shouting Jesus and no sound was made. At times, i won't be able to call Jesus gan so I would just accept my fate and allow the bastard to leave me in peace. All these drink enough water and sleep early and so are sakamanje. Experience has taught me that anytime you feel any negative force in your room, just turn to your side and that show is over for that bastard. For years now, it is not on records that i have had any sleep paralysis while sleeping on my side but anytime i 'loseguard' come sleep supine then I've handed myself to them to press. I will just wake up, call them bastards in low tone and turn to my side. Another thing I've noticed for some time now is my ability to be aware of a dream while I'm sleeping with the option to terminate the dream should it become something else while I'm still in the dream. I've terminated dreams over and over and over again, pls who has the kind of experience? |

TheBoy1740: OK, I will check up. Mind you...I wasn't and have never been in an ICU before. All these I told you happened on my comfortable 6x6 bed with full AC blasting. If it happens to you, you will understand better. One thing I know is that you must have a ready response on time. I'll leave you with this my favoutite quote "All battles are won twice, first in the spirit, second in the physical" |

We often hear about al-Jathoom, which is a jinni that sits (yajthum) on a person’s chest if he has been neglecting prayer or other duties. Is there anything in the Sunnah of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) that mentions that? Or is it a myth and fable?. Answer Praise be to Allaah. Firstly: Al-Jathoom is the kaboos (incubus, evil spirit, nightmare) that descends upon a person in his sleep. Ibn al-Manzoor said: Al-Jathaam or al-Jathoom is the kaboos that descends upon a person at night… the one that descends upon a person when he is sleeping is called al-jathoom. Lisaan al-‘Arab (12/83) He also said: The kaboos is the one that descends upon the sleeper at night. And it was said that it is the precursor to epilepsy. One of the linguists said: I do not think that it is an Arabic word; rather it is al-naydalaan; it is also known as al-barook or al-jathoom. Lisaan al-‘Arab (6/190). Secondly: The “jathoom” may be caused by a physical reason, such as eating too much or taking too much medicine, or it may be due to being overpowered by the jinn. The former may be treated by cupping and reducing the intake of food etc. The latter may be treated by means of the Qur’aan and reciting dhikrs that are prescribed in Islam. Ibn Seena said in his medical book al-Qanoon: Chapter on al-kaboos: It is also called al-khaaniq (the strangler), and in Arabic it is also called al-jathoom and al-naydalaan. Al-kaboos is a disease that a person feels when he is falling asleep and imagines something heavy pressing upon him, squeezing him and constricting his breathing, hence he cannot speak or move, and he is almost suffocated because of the obstruction of his airway. When it goes away, he wakes up immediately. This is the precursor to one of three things: epilepsy, apoplexy or mania. That applies if it is due to physical causes and there is no other non-physical cause. End quote. Modern doctors say likewise. Dr. Hassaan Shamsi Basha has divided kaboos into two categories: temporary kaboos and recurrent kaboos; he regards the former as being due to physical causes and the latter as being due to the effect of the jinn. He says in his book al-Nawm wa’l-Araq wa’l-Ahlaam (sleep, insomnia and dreams): 1)Temporary kaboos: This happens for two reasons: A-Vapours that rise to the brain through the breathing channels when first falling asleep, so the person afflicted feels that he cannot move or speak, or he feels a kind of panic. This is the precursor of a physical epileptic seizure, and it also happens when one is exposed to psychological pressures. B-Administration of medicines that can cause kaboos such as: (i)Arazrabine (ii)Beta blockers (iii)Lifod B (iv)Antidepressants (v)After stopping the use of tranquillizers such as valium. 2)Recurrent kaboos. This kind of kaboos indicates that a person has been harmed by evil spirits. End quote. Conclusion: Jathoom refers to kaboos, which is not a myth or fable, rather it is something real that does happen; it may be caused by physical factors or it may be caused by the jinn. And Allaah knows best. 1 Like 1 Share |

Well I am believer but an open-minded person not a religious dimwit, but what I observe is the human body is a very sacred place so many unanswered things that beckon for answers the more you dig the more you get confused. The spirit as the religious people will say and conscious mind as scientist will call it, is just a mysterious maze that is yet to be answered. The ancient people were blessed in a way that they could fore told what will happen due to their higher IQ they mostly mastered how to control the spiritual realm and quantum physics and how to manipulate it, and their throries are very effective till date, some of them (The Abrahamic religion) were able to write it down in different types of books, and if you used any of the books you will see how effective it is because they have already mastered and unlocked the portal of awakening. That's why some of their followers mistake them as prophets or special beings unknown to them those people that they referred to as special people are just gifted people with higher IQ I tried to experiment something about this sleep paralysis, I observed that it usually happens when I took lots of caffeine before I go to bed, or sometimes when I didn't have enough sleep, sometimes I deliberately let myself to go to sleep paralysis because I can revive myself in a jiffy. The other trial was I said okay let me take lots of caffeine and sleep, in a matter of a minute I had sleep paralysis I then revive myself and sitdown for a minute. Then put on the recitation of Quran and go back to sleep for the first 5 minutes I almost had the sleep paralysis because I can sense it but it didn't happen. The next day I said let me download any sermon from the Bible and try the experiment with it, guess what? I didn't have sleep paralysis, you see how effective the two books are? Also, sleep paralysis can be genetic, yeah you can inherit it through the family line. Have you ever asked yourself why a possessed man can be treated in a psychiatric hospital, at the same time can also be treated through exorcism using either of the two books? The brain is a very complex organ everything that happens to you are all centred to the brain. Nextime you have sleep paralysis stay calm, float with it, is just that your brain is awake but it couldn't process information to the rest of your body 1 Like |

Divay22: Try changing your sleeping position, it might stop. It also happens to me morning, afternoon and night back then. I no longer experience it because I changed my sleeping position. If you sleep on your back, try sleeping on your side or lie down with your chest to the bed. |

Many of you guys are just suffering from limited 'native intelligence'. You think whatever the whiteman's worldview states is the right thing? No, these your explanations of what happen in dreams and the struggles are largely wrong. These things you describe as dream paralysis are 95% spiritual wars, attacks, revelationns and oppressions or delivarances. Many remain 'forever strugglers' because they can't fix revelationns of warnings and guidance to take good chances, sorry. 2 Likes 1 Share |
