VickyRotex:Youre welcome vicks! Im sure you can relate to the oriki. The gods revealed it to me so you better believe! Yeah this lounge exists, but apparently people have little interest here. Some come here to push cultural supremacist views too.But cool section nonetheless 1 Like 1 Share |

Re: The Culture Lounge by VickyRotex(f): 1:34am On Jun 01, 2020 |
Omoluabi16: One day for the owner, multiple days for me Emi lakobi. Hahaha I just Googled. No wonder you asked if I came from there I've always heard of a place in Oyo with the highest number never knew that's the place. I guess they're also the ones who believe that eating yam/pounded yam increases the chances of having twins. |
Re: The Culture Lounge by Omoluabi16(m): 1:39am On Jun 01, 2020 |
VickyRotex:scroll up, you'll see your oriki. I don't know about the iyan part. Maybe I didn't read it in depth. I just read that if they conceive there probability of twin will be high. It's just superstition I presume....but this is Africa.so you can never tell. |
Re: The Culture Lounge by VickyRotex(f): 1:45am On Jun 01, 2020 |
Omoluabi16: lol I know the oriki is here. I just wan trouble you ni jare Hahaha yes that's exactly the way I heard it too. The thing sef spread beyond Africa. I had a manager ask me once about how true the superstition is. Apparently one of her very close friends have 2 set of twins and told her the same thing. |

Re: The Culture Lounge by VickyRotex(f): 1:59am On Jun 01, 2020 |
Omoluabi16: In bold: yea possibly. But I also like to see it as more of a "mind over matter" kind of thing. i.e., they saw it as cultural, believed it and it worked for them. Sort of a WYCIWYG. Hahaha yes na, she for no mind if she still dey young. |

Omoluabi16: I go soon put advert for your sale!!! Yea, indeed they are. They are great reminders! Please..what is Isapa? Isapa is like zobo leaves but white. You boil it and cook with Eguisi. Didn't used to like it cause it can get really lumpy in the throat. Imagine chewing boiled zobo leave but eventually I liked it, cos my mum used to shred it and we wont even notice its in the soup. Its been such a long time since I ate it. |
