When Oshiomohle was a governor, Chief John Oyegun(former national chairman) didn't decide the mode of primary for him. Oshiomohle came in and factionalized the party in nearly all the states, to a point some states couldn't even have a candidate in governorship election.

In 2007, lucky Igbinedion was nearly impeach by the state assembly becoz he used the state resources to financed opposition candidate in the person of Adams Oshiomohle.

Oshiomohle later turned against lucky and the father. Lucky didn't ask Oshiomohle to share the state money with him or dictate how the state was to be run.
