Please I need help, my corolla 2009 I got from USA is having high idle speed. It idles at about 2000 rpm instead of under 1000 rpm. it had minor accident in USA. I have changed injector head, changed plugs, cleaned injectors, etc, still high.
Could someone, pls, suggest a possible solution

Does the rpm stay on 2000 even when engine temperature has risen to about halfway of the temperature guage?

Did you bypass the thermostat?

From all that has been said earlier it seems the vehicle has been kazzimized, fan connected direct and thermostat bypassed, and it's unable to enter close loop, I'm very sure the fuel consumption would be high, but still remote diagnosis is still not very the best to find the fault,

Have u resolved the issue, if Yes tell us the final solution to the problem

Have you tried removing the battery overnight and resetting the car ?

Since you have changed plugs and clean injector, check your ignition coils.

Probably your MAF sensor is bad and your mechanic decides to increase the idle speed.

Also check for vacuum leaks.
