Bamidele: Quintessential Yoruba spineless stooge. After the bashing you people received during the Ambode saga, I know you guys are eager to want to "prove" to everyone that godfathers should be worshipped. That's why you jump on every thread on nairaland praising Oshiomhole and insulting Obaseki.
bamidelee:

Hallucination.

Tell me the difference between them, if OBASEKI should win this battle, He'll surely become a godfather in Edo at a later day, so he's digging his own political grave by competing with the power dat be.

Can you tell us any justification for him not to swear in 14 law makers that were duely elected by the masses? And it's the same said oshiomole agbero worked for him?
They were equally informed about it but they wanted to stiffle his govt, with excuses that they're processing some documents or whatever when they were actually having secret meeting in Abuja.
Their game plan failed and if they wanted to they could have been since been sworn in but they refused to.

The OP help our intellectual "lazy Youths" by putting the key conditions for indirect primary or concensus candidates can be adopted in bold face but no, they must speak against anything Buhari, Tinubu and Oshiomole.

Direct primaries is democratically the best mode for any party election. First thing is that the APC guidelines was made for 2019 elections, so it was not targeted at Obaseki. The conditions is simple, get majority of your state executives to agree, sign and deliver your resolution to adopt either indirect primary or concensus candidates, bring it to us for approval. Is that a difficult thing for a popular and performing governor to do?

But Obaseki knew he can't get it because he never worked with them. Seriously, Obaseki is no democratic and in my personal opinion such a person is not fit to rule or lead a democrat institution.

My friend wake up, even under the watch of Oshimole Edo state lost to the PDP in the last presidential election. Whichever way, Obaseki has got nothing to lose cos he has left an indelible mark in the educational sector of the state that posterity will surely reward him for.

[/s] Which indelible mark? Obaseki has been a miserable failure.

Why history always repeat itself is simply because human beings don't learn from history. It happened in Zamfara, it happened in River's state, it also happened in Bayelsa. Everything on ground shows that it may happen in Edo state, yet, the APC party leadership does nothing to avert it and when it finally happens, they will blame the judiciary. Wetin be my own sef Na una know.
I shld also know that it's what d direct primary has prevented.

Is like you didn't read the whole story. The governor has refuse swearing-in 14 law makers into their respective offices which is wrong already. There are criteria that meets up the mode of primary Edo state has not meet up any of those criteria. What do you have to say about the 14 law makers
the deputy governor of kogi state was unlawfully removed from office in kogi state before the election not just that but there was so many voices against the governor but they were all screened out of the election. My brother like I said, it's all about their interest. Oshiomole want a loyal servant which he didn't get from obaseki.

They are all thieves

Obaseki had very terrible politicians advising him from the beginning. Politics is an art of managing human relations so that you can have the leverage to deliver on your electoral mandate and promises. His advisers must have pushed him towards the unnecessary aggression towards Oshiomhole. Even if he had issues with the party chairman, he could have been more tactful about it, especially knowing that he was still interested in a second term. You don't plan a coup that fails and expect there not to be consequences. Most failed coup plotters end up executed as a consequence, while the lucky ones go on exile. Obaseki should understand that there will be consequences for his failed coup against Oshiomhole
In essence, Obaseki should have been silent over the alleged embezzlement of Edo State people fund being levelled against his predecessor in office. No wonder the country is going down everyday becos of this kind of logic. It is a great day.

But we must be realistic. If the man Obaseki is truly yet to sworn in 14 APC state legislative members duly elected by Edo people in their respective LGs, he will do the worst if given any chance to run again.
the proclamation to swear-in the few loyal to him was even done gestapo style - done 1am in the morning.

When the Court finally declares that APC has no candidate in Edo Governorship election then some of you will think that the court was bribed like it was done in Rivers and Zamfara. But this is how the story always begins, a party in disarray that cannot organize standard primary which is the condition that must be fulfilled before participation in election in Nigeria. PDP should get ready with a good candidate, I see them reaping the benefit of the crisis in APC.

I used to think that Obaseki was so powerful but what we are seing now has proved me wrong. He took the issue of Oshiomole too far.He should have reconciled with him before now. But then, time will tell.

Which Bayelsa, court disqualified APC deputy Governor hereby affecting the Governor.... Not that the were disqualified based on Primary election
in Bayelsa, the screening committee/party leadership knew that the deputy governor had issues with his name but ignored it because he was nominated by Timipreiye Sylva. They knew it will generate issues later but ignored because they felt the judiciary will favour them. They wanted their own person to hold the position whether the person was qualified or not. All these were pre-election issues that could have been resolved if the party leadership had done their home work properly. With respect to Edo state, Adam Oshiomole's candidate, Osagie Ize-Iyamu has issues with his registration. A member must register from his ward, but he didn't. His membership is hanging. The waiver also granted him is not tenable because it is the duty of his ward leadership to apply for a waiver from the party's NEC but the party's NEC has neither met nor did any ward leadership apply for a waiver on his behalf. If he succeeds in clinching the party's ticket, any other candidate can use these to nullify his election as was done in Bayelsa.

I don't know why some Nigerians / wailers making too much noise abt mod of primary election ? Can you tell a lecturer to upgrade you without examination? Will you encourage your child to be promoted without examination in their schools? Were you all graduated in the school without examinations? Were you the one dictated the mod of your examinations procedure for your lecturers in the higher institutions ? Why too much noise on not yet conducted primary election? Yet they will still making noise upon non performance of some political offices holders in the states and country . Partisan politics and Political opposition has removed sensitive organs in people's heads.
