Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen has been voted as Lille player following his phenomenal performances this season.

The club took to its official site to declare the victor and other participants on Tuesday.

The 21-year-old Nigerian star beat Benjamin André and Renato Sanches, who took the second and third spots separately.

“The Lille fans casted,voted and chose them. Victor Osimhen is the Mastiff of the period by Boulanger!,” the French side composed.



The Nigerian universal striker (21) won the accolade ahead of Benjamin André and Renato Sanches, individually second and third of your votes. Fans of the club were asked to vote regarding their player of the season from the Squad of players.

Osimhen won the desired prize subsequent to scoring 18 goals and providing 5 assists in 31 appearances over all competitions in the Ligue 1 season before the French government dropped games due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Osimhen joins fellow Nigerian star Moses Simon who was also voted as Nantes player of the season.
