Is that your bitcoin investment still valid?

It's actually on hold for now because of the effect of COVID-19 on the world economy. But as soon as economy recovers, am sure it will all bounce back.

Hey guys, my big uncle wanna invest about 21M in Stanbic MMF and he doesn’t plan on touching the Money till about December (6 months time) when he is going to need it.

How much interest would he have accrued by then

Also, what is the interest rate

Can someone also tell me what is the risk involved, because he doesn’t plan on touching or withdrawing the money till about December.

Finally, is 21 million too much to invest in Mutual funds? Please advise

The interest rate for stanbic and all MMF is usually not stated/agree and no fixed before the Investment. It is however determined daily. So nobody can give your uncle any accurate interest as it usually fluctuates.

Mutual funds are in different categories and So are the risks involved. The Money Market Funds (MMF) has the lowest risk of all. Your capital is guaranteed, so also is your interest earned.

I do not think it is too much. Since the money seem to be for an intended project.

Hello house, please in finding it difficult to redeem my mutual fund with stanbic, everytime I fill for redrawal they reply me with, my signature is not correct, this is something I signed 2014, don't I have right to be shown the signature used, since they have my passport and bvn,.

I have not heard of anyone doing offline redemption without issues from them. I don't know why but offline withdrawal seem to be very stressful with stanbic asset management. I have tried it twice, one was to move the money to another of their mutual fund so it worked fine. However, the other time which was to redeem my money to my account did not work. About the 4th day after I physically submitted the form in their Assets Management Office I called to inquire why I didn't get the money. It was then they started telling me that my signature is not correct/ irregular but thank God I have their app functioning. So I used it.

It is easier through their mobile app and web portal. I know that sometimes, what you intend withdraw may be more than what you can get through their web/app but if it is not more then try to use it instead. It is easier. Around 2:30 pm yesterday I redeemed some money expecting to see it today since it was already past 12 but I got the alert before 6:00pm that yesterday.

If you do not have their mobile please get it, set up the answer to your security question and redemption will be easier for you. In the meantime, keeping calling and mailing them. There will solve it.

thank you for responding sire... I would love to get or even register the mutual fund on their app, I have the app on my phone but my mutual account can't be login, doesn't have online access.

I don't know if I will be able to have online login access since the mutual fund account was for me and my dad, he bought it and link it to me while I also invested some money during 2014 when I was in 100l now I wanna redeemed my fund cause its not even growing, my dad had redeemed his years ago, this people will delay me and when I try to know what's going on, I will get a feed up of irregularities in signature. Tired of it.

Do you think it's possible for me to get online login access? Thanks boss

It seems what you have is a sort of joint investment account. I do not know how this works but I believe since you are able to place redemption request, you should also be able to have online access too. Try and contact them again to let them know you need online access I am sure you will find a solution.

Good evening

Please I know this is uncalled for as I can't go back pages ago for a simple answer

Can I transfer cash from my stanbic account to my stanbic MMF account without having zero issues?
Re: Mutual Funds by dammybrite: 11:06pm On Jun 04, 2020
Sure, all you have to do is to ensure that you use your MMF e-account number as your transaction note. Also, it is better to carry out this transaction before 12 noon on a weekday/business working day.

A mutual fund pools money from different investors in order to invest in a large group of assets (also known as securities) such as stocks and bonds. Professionals manage the holdings that make up the fund’s portfolio; investors buy shares that rise or fall in value based on the performance of the fund’s underlying securities.

Please I wanted to put my money in Stanbic MMF but my colleague advised me to put it in VGIF as that's what he invests in.

All investors in this VGIF, what are your regrets so far or reason why I shouldn't dive into this.

I went to playstore for their app but quite a number of people have a negative review on their app and it barely got 3.9.... That's bad for an investment platform.

N:B I don't want any positive comment as I've gone through a lot of pages and read what gurus here said. Quite satisfying

Quite interesting.

You only want to read negative comments despite all you've read on previous pages and your colleague's recommendation. Well, the review on Play Store is about the app, not the investment house or the investment itself. I've been using FBNQuest for many years now, they don't have one of the best apps on Google Play Store, but I love doing business with them.

My mentor once told me: ''If you're too careful, you'll be careless.''

VGIF is a mutual fund in the fixed income category. It's different from the mmf because the underlying assets ie the assets unit holder's fund is invested in differs. Interest rate for mmf is daily valued while that of VGIF is bench marked. You can read more about VGIF on my earlier posts on this thread, Tbills thread or check my signature for contact.

To add to what @Emmasoft said

Ziing is an app powered by Investment One to ease savings, investments and reduce financial friction.
Ziing has 2 main features which are zSave, zPlan.

The Ziing app also allows you subscribe to various investment options from investment One Financial Services.

Zsave

The zsave is just like your normal bank account.

Zplan

Zplan helps you achieve your target goal with the option to lock the fund.

I.e. you set a goal to save xxxxx amount of money between the period of 7 month,

The app tells you how much to save daily, weekly or monthly to achieve the set goal.

When your fund is huge, there is a need to choose an investment option that gives good return, but when u don't have any reserve, then your priority should be on how much you can save over a specific period of time and definitely you have to put into consideration an investment option that can help you achieve it with a mouthwatering ROI.

Try sending an email to their customer service on
ccu@fbnquestmb.com
and you can copy some of their account officers like
Babatunde.Sanni@fbnquestmb.com
or
chiagozi.eze@fbnquestmb.com
or
samuel.yisau@fbnquestmb.com
or
oluwatobi.tanimola@fbnquestmb.com
I have also observed their phone lines aren't going through but usually when I send an email to the customer care service and copy any or all of the officers above, and they respond in good time (I usually send the e-mails during work hours oh.. ).
