Goodmarlian:ijaws are less than 5 million in population and can't intimate anybody in the Niger Delta region. The only people that fear them are you igbos due to the fact they sold and dominate your ancestors in slave trading. 3 Likes |

9jaunite: Its got nothing to do with Biafra. If the minorities feel that they want a separate country called Niger Delta Republic or any other name, they had better organise themselves and start pushing for that. The reason is that of all those who are currently seeking separate country, Niger Delta Republic will be the most difficult to actualise. If Igbos go for Biafra, it will be easier because they are one tribe, one language and one culture If Yorubas go for Oduduwa Republic, it will be easier because it is one tribe, one language and one culture If Hausa/Fulani go for Arewa, it will be easier for them for the same reason. But if the Niger Delta goes for Niger Delta Republic, it will be very difficult to achieve because you have over 30 tribes, different languages and cultures. To unify all of them will be almost impossible. So if Nigeria breaks up, and their is no movement that is championing the cause of Niger Delta Republic, what is most likely to happen is that each of the tribes in the Niger Delta will have no choice but to choose which they want to go with, Oduduwa Republic, Arewa Republic or Biafra. 9 Likes 3 Shares |
