Lexusgs430: Mention few places in UK that the citizens of 60+ or those with Freedom Pass are allowed to travel free on rail. |
Re: Living In The Uk/life As A UK Immigrant by Lexusgs430: 6:13am On Jun 07, 2020 |
Phenmeson: That freedom pass got UK wide coverage......... (buses, underground, trams and rails)....... |
Re: Living In The Uk/life As A UK Immigrant by Phenmeson(m): 6:30am On Jun 07, 2020 |
Lexusgs430: I disagree with that of rail. You can't even use freedom Pass on rail in Sussex or Surrey,Midlands e.t.c Freedom Pass on rails are only valid on this routes

Lexusgs430: Oga I still get 30yrs to go before I qualify for freedom pass. The image or Google results shows that you can travel on bus, tram, national rail and tube just in London. My point is that TFL gives more benefits/services to London residents especially those on Freedom pass, Kids and older citizens 60+. I still give kudos to them regardless of the new policy to start charging kids from 10+ to pay for their fares or allowing freedom pass holders to travel on of peak. |
Re: Living In The Uk/life As A UK Immigrant by Lexusgs430: 8:04am On Jun 07, 2020 |
Phenmeson: Agreed about TFL..... But the government bond, hanging around their neck........ With stringent terms...... |

TRAY2:Biko no vex with Admiral, it’s good to shop around for car insurance renewal but i can assure you the premium will be similar because you recently moved from provisional to full license. Worked with some insurance firms in the past and they see new full license holders as high risk so their premiums is always quoted higher. |

Hi everyone, its been a long time since I posted here. I remembered what a good community this was for me so I am back! How is everyone coping with the lockdown? Its been a time of self reflection for me. Anyone living in Coulsdon, Purley or Croydon area that wants to make friends? I realise that I have been here for years but still have mostly non Nigerian friends. Also, I am thinking of moving to a different area with affordable houses and good schools. It must be a town I can commute to central London for work. Your suggestion will be appreciated. Thanks 4 Likes |

I just finished watching 13th on Netflix. It's a documentary about the oppression of the blacks in America. It was eye opening, provocative and made me angry at the level of injustice to the blacks. If you can, watch it and you might learn a lot. 2 Likes |

dustydee: Oga, to what end? Racism would exist till thy kingdom come....... Even in Nigeria, we are equally racist, tribalistic and full of venom amongst ourselves.......... Who sold blacks to whites or allowed them take blacks away, from their homelands?....... Back then, they came to enslave us...... Now, we arrive willingly to enslave ourselves........ 7 Likes |

Lexusgs430:Sir, it is very important.A lot of people, including black people, do not understand some of the issues faced by the black race. I only found out some myself after watching that. It is important that they understand and put into context what they are experiencing and it may help them find a solution. For the other races too, it may help them understand that what they see of the black man was not entirely their making but how it was designed by the system. Perhaps we may begin to see a gradual shift in attitude towards the black race. And I agree that for the black race to earn respect around the world, Africa and especially Nigeria needs to get its acts together. 1 Like |
