delkuf:The person should not necessarily start from believing in anything. Before jesus died and rose, he also taught the gospel. He wanted his people to believe the gospel ( good news), but that was impossible because they did not totally understand his good news(gospel). His good news ( or gospel) was beyond just liberation from Rome, it was first a liberation from your own slavery to self and sin. So jesus taught and taught, he gave many parables about the kingdom of God. That it was already with them there and doesn't necessarily have to come the way they understood previously. The people had to understand the gospel of jesus in order to believe it. 1 Like 1 Share |

delkuf:None of the disciples or the first "Christians" had a Bible to work with. What they heard was the word of mouth transmission of Christ's teachings, backed by the lead of the Spirit of God. The book you know of today as the Bible came into existence about 300 years after the disciples and the first "Christians" walked the earth. And it was another 1200 years or so before common people could get their hands on a copy of it to read for themselves. 1 Like 1 Share |

delkuf: Jesus actually foretold of signs that will help people living in the end time to believe him! But most people just want to see him in person or witness some of his miracles before they can believe (trust) in his words, that is not Christianity Sir! |

delkuf:Don't you think that even many so called non Christians may understand the gospel than many christians today? I understand a lot from Shakespeare and many underlining truth behind the stories. If I live my life according to the principles of those truth because of my understanding, I do not need to be called a Shakespearean. I am already fulfilling the purpose of those stories, which was why the author wrote them in the first place. What it means to believe in and follow jesus is to understand his story and let the story lead you to the truth of God for your life. It is also to understand the principles behind his teachings and allow them guide you. If you allow them guide you, it means you believe in them. But first you must let them sink into your soul ( by understanding). 1 Like 1 Share |

Daejoyoung:To believe in the Bible is to believe in what is written in it. read it, understand it and assimilate it. then do what it says. because it is the Bible that fornication is a sin, I stop fornicating. And continue living like that till the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ. because the Bible says so |

delkuf: It's no problem Sir! God started all these with just a pair of humans so it cost him nothing if just only a few survive into the new system! Jesus himself said "just as it happened in Noah's day" Before Noah's day there was nothing like rain, but Noah is now telling them rain as in water will drop heavily from the sky. Of course they can't believe (trust) in such things, but what about ©When they saw him building the Ark? ©When he began bringing in the animals? ©When the birds were going to meet him in pairs? ©When wild animals became grass eaters in the Ark? They ignored all these signs until the flood came and wipe them all out! Today Jesus' followers are RECOGNIZED by some signs, they're about .01% of the world's population, but those who refuses to find out what Jesus said about his group will simply perish just as it occurred in Noah's day! Maximus69:Max, the following is an English lesson. It has nothing to do with theology. Pay careful attention. Submissive, is when you obey whether you like it, and moreso, when you don't. The fact that JWs disobey, for whatever reason, means JWs are not submissive. You, for instance, hardly ever submit even when you have been shown to be incorrect. It is your nature to go on resisting even in the face of obvious superior understanding; you, Max, stand firm and unsubmissive.

Xavfra: TheSourcerer:No, I did not go back to Christianity. I was an atheist from birth and recently decided to read the Bible for the third time. I am finding it impossible to be a Christian as you can see by the difficulty I have in believing. |

Daejoyoung:No it doesn't! That is just a belief you have! And I beg you not to spoil your beautiful understanding with lazy beliefs! The Quran too is a book. And like the Bible, one must not look at its cover and believe before actually reading to understand it. Apart from that. buda bows to your superior understanding. |
Re: Why I Don't Believe Everything I Read In The Bible. by Daejoyoung: 10:10am On Jun 07, 2020 |
budaatum:I was responding to his statement that you must believe everything in the bible. The quran actually states that it was dictated to Muhammed from God through the angel jibreel, and that believers cannot reject one part of this revelation and cling to others, you must believe everything in the Quran. Note that the quran was said to be revealed( not written at first) by one man in the space of 23 years. Islam is a true definition of religion of the book. 1 Like 1 Share |

Daejoyoung:Some are telling you that the Bible is the "definition of religion of the book", and that you must believe it to understand, but I hear you arguing vehemently, as one should! Even if it says you "must believe everything in the Quran", you would seek to understand first before believing or not, as you have clearly stated, and as you would do with any book, I'd bet, if I were a gambler. |

budaatum: Submission is relative not in isolation! If you don't have any group or organization that you believe you should submit to, then there is nothing like submission in your case! A soldier is in submission to his camp, but in opposition to all others, so without his camp he is only surrendering unwillingly to other camps, but to his own camp he will be 100% submissive! That's why we are Jehovah's Witnesses (Christian Soldiers) Please mention the group to that you're in subjection to so we can learn the rules of you're truthfully Obedient! |
